Susanna Reid isn't afraid to get down and dirty as she puts herself through her paces for Tough Mums Challenge alongside Kate Garraway and the GMB team
She got in some last minute training under the watchful eye of Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan earlier in the day.
But Susanna Reid looked like a woman who was more than up for the challenge when she took part in the Tough Mums event alongside a host of hardcore mothers at Belvoir Castle in Grantham, Leicestershire, on Wednesday afternoon.
The 45-year-old broadcaster proved she was indeed a tough mother as she braved a five kilometre obstacle course alongside 100 other mothers.
Lets do this! Susanna Reid looked like a woman who was more than up for the challenge when she took part in the Tough Mums event alongside a host of hardcore mothers at Belvoir Castle in Grantham, Leicestershire, on Wednesday afternoon
The TV presenter looked the epitome of a warrior as she and co-host Kate Garraway dashed to the start of the course with strips of black paint brandished across their cheeks.
Despite the strenuous nature of the challenge that lie ahead, the sprightly stars seemed in the highest of spirits with their beaming smiles and vivacious can-do attitude.
Leading the way, Susanna took on the course in black leggings and body amour, though concealed the fitted nature of the look beneath an baggy red T-shirt.
Girl power! Kate Garraway and Susanna both channelled their inner savages by painting black stripes on either of their cheeks
Helping hand: Everybody chipped in to help their team reach victory

Still smiling! Kate seemed in high spirits despite the mental and physical strain of the challenge
Harder than ever: The course featured some of Tough Mudder's most exciting signature obstacles including King of the Swingers, Pyramid Scheme, Mud Mile and the all-new Frequent Flyers Club
Not afraid to get her hands - or indeed her entire body - dirty, the journalist's pristine fitness garments didn't stay that way for long and were plastered with mud by the time she crossed the finish line alongside her teammates.
The same could be said for Kate, whose once yellow T-shirt was ridden with grime once she re-joined Susanna at the end of the course.
The girls were just two of a host of Good Morning Britain stars who took part in the physical challenge as Richard Arnold, Ben Shephard, Ranvir Singh, Sean Fletcher, Alex Beresford and Dr Hilary Jones also worked up a sweat.
Giggles: Susanna also maintained her smile and even found the energy to laugh during the event
It's over! Unsurprisingly, laughter wasn't in short supply when Susanna's team finally completed the strenuous obstacle course
You can do it! The final push looked to be too much for some of the contenders
No stopping her: Susanna proved heights weren't an issue as she leaped from a high platform and into some rather murky looking waters
Celebrity mums Sinitta, Julia Bradbury and a group of other inspirational mothers were also chosen by the programme to take part.
Before taking part in the assault course, Susanna prepared for the gruelling challenge under the watchful eye of Piers Morgan as she performed push-ups in a floral dress and heels in the Good Morning Britain studio.
The brunette beauty was clearly keen to cram in some last-minute exercise ahead of the 2016 Tough Mums event.
Making an appearance: Piers Morgan's face appears as a target on the Frequent Flyers Club obstacle
What a champ! Kate wore her mud laden garments with pride once the event was completed
Not afraid: The presenters flashed an upward thumb and grinned from ear to ear ahead of the challenge
Incredible achievement: Along with the presenters, 100 other mums took part in the event - which saw them brave a five kilometre obstacle course
Some extra muscle: Good Morning Britain's Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold also got stuck in

What a trooper! Susanna wasn't afraid to put herself through her paces as she trawled through mud and grime
Arnold's Angels: Richard came up with a fitting nickname for his team
Susanna dropped to the GMB studio floor in her form-fitting frock and as the camera returned from the ad-break she comically counted past the 100 mark as Piers pretended to whip her into shape.
Her suited and booted co-host was in personal trainer mode as he growled: 'Come on! Harder!' as Susanna worked up a sweat.
The ever-enthusiastic Kate Garraway, 49, was already at the course base camp in Grantham, and along with other willing participants demonstrated one of the obstacles.
Whoops! Richard found himself in some rather compromising positions during the challenge
Still owning it! Even when forced to swim through murky waters, Susanna still manged to maintain her poise
Flying high! Richard wasn't afraid to conquer his fears as he took part in a leap of faith challenge
Working as a team, the mums formed a human pyramid against a slippery 10 ft sloped wall in order to help Kate scramble to the top.
Clad in colourful funky leggings and a shocking pink vest top, Kate tentatively climbed the slippery wall and was eventually pulled to the summit after slipping near the top.
Sinitta and presenter Julia Bradbury will be among the brave mums tackling the challenge, while Liberty X's Jessica Taylor had originally meant to take part but had to withdraw on doctor's orders following a hoverboard incident.
Going the extra mile: Richard went to all matter of extremes to help his girls cross the finish line
Clubbing together: Comradery certainly wasn't in short supply during the challenge
Ben Shepherd attended the last challenge and wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to be involved again, tweeting: 'Charging south from Newcastle for our #TOUGHMUMS challenge. It's wet it's cold and it's gonna be bloomin muddy!! Can't wait @GMB'
The 100 participants each had to apply to take part and were required to be either a mother or mother figure who could give an example of what made them tough.
Speaking after the challenge, Susanna Reid said: 'Tough Mums 2016 was even harder than last year, there were new obstacles and there were new fears in facing them! It was incredibly hard but we all encouraged each over, worked as a team and got round the course.
'Some of the women taking part today have overcome, or are still trying to overcome huge personal obstacles- they're such an inspiration and thinking about that really helped when I was faced with dark muddy tunnels or deep icy water!'
