Australian model Robyn Lawley says calling a Size 14 woman plus-size is 'degrading' and reveals she eats what she wants

Curvy campaigner: Australian model Robyn Lawley says calling a Size 14 woman plus-size is 'degrading' and reveals she eats what she wants

She's the Australian model who has long campaigned for the term 'plus-size model' to be squashed for good.
And on Wednesday, Robyn Lawley once again came out guns blazing, stating that it's 'degrading' to consider a Size 14 woman plus-size.
Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, the 27-year-old noted: 'If the national average is a Size 14, then we shouldn't be segregating people of that size.'

The mother-of-one has become an advocate for larger women, trying to encourage more coverage in the fashion world and not be fat-shamed in the process.
And on the plus side, the curvy beauty boasts that unlike the rail-thin models: 'I eat what I want in moderation.
'I don't go on diets, I don't eat fat-free - that's full of chemicals and it tastes like crap.'
The Westfield fashion ambassador also addressed the issue during a radio interview on Tuesday morning.

Speaking on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Robyn pointed out that most 'excessively skinny' models are 'half the size' of her and are secretly 'starving themselves'.
In response to France imposing a nationwide ban on super thin models last year, the Sports Illustrated model said it's been a 'great thing' although there is still work that needs to be done.
'It is kind of changing ... but I definitely think models are still quite skinny,' she told the radio duo.
'If I'm standing next to them, then you'll be like 'yeah she is plus-size.' They're half the size of me and you get shocked.

She added: 'When I go to castings I forget and you're like "wow I really am fighting for something important" because these girls are starving themselves ... it's so bad for the body.'
Robyn has made no secret of her disdain for labels within the modelling industry, having recently taken to Instagram with a jaw-dropping photo of herself modelling a swimsuit from her new swimwear line.
'For years being 6ft2 and a size aus 14-16 meant I was completely excluded from pretty much every fashion label, especially in swimwear,' she wrote in the caption.
The Sydney-born beauty continued: 'Glad to see times have completely changed and not only changed now I get to wear my own brand @robynlawleyswimwear which always fits me perfectly.'

Despite the size barriers set up by the modelling industry, Robyn's career has seen her work for the likes of Ralph Lauren, H&M, Mango and Lane Bryant.
Robyn is now based in the USA with her partner Everest Schmidt and their one-year-old daughter Ripley.
She told Daily Mail Australia earlier this year that she was still adjusting to her new body shape since giving birth in February 2015.
'My body isn't the same and while some people are like "Oh no, it is", it really is quite different,' she explained. 'It's a body I am getting used to in terms of modelling.'
