And on Saturday, Miley Cyrus showed her support for the Free The Nipple campaign with a topless photo of herself.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram to post a black and white portrait of herself laying naked in bed as she stares off in the distance.

The black-and-white photo shows the pop star 'freeing the nipple' while resting on a white linen-covered mattress.
She is also placing her left hand between her breasts while gazing at the ceiling.

Free The Nipple is an equality movement that's meant to empower women across the world, against female oppression and censorship, as many states still have laws against public toplessness.

In the image, Miley is far more covered up, donning a festive red garment and green headband.

The star's boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger, 21, took to Instagram on Christmas as well, sharing a snap of him posing with his siblings and their mother Maria Shriver, a Kennedy descendant, in matching green pyjamas.
The model and actor, whose father of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, captioned the image simply, saying, 'Happy Christmas!!'
The pair were first seen together this past fall but had dated before in 2011.
