While many people were dreaming of a white Christmas, Rihanna had the sunny Caribbean on her mind.
The Umbrella singer returned to her native Barbados to spend time with family and soak up some sun.
The 26-year-old left behind her padded coats in the Big Apple to strip down to a red bikini and relax in a lounger, as revealed in new images posted to her Instagram page on Friday.

The Bajan beauty posed with her friend Melissa Forde while the two reclined in loungers.
Her toned physique was on full display in a two-piece red bikini as she appeared to have on no makeup and left her locks loose.
She smoldered in another photo that gave a close-up view of her cleavage - and a gorgeous skyline, not that anybody would notice.

Another snap, taken by her friend, shows the Stay singer from the backside as she reclines on a lounger, looking every bit like a woman basking in paradise.
She also recently shared a snap of her Christmas tree in New York, which featured boxes of presents under an unconventional tree.
She referred to the shiny adornments as 'black ice' in an Instagram photo caption, adding that it was the 'Best tree everrrrr.'
Some of the gifts under the tree included a black Barney's New York box, a large stocking embroidered with 'Robyn' - the singer's birth name - and other gift bags.
