Audrey is that you? Vanessa Hudgens is transformed from Hollywood party girl to Hepburn chic for new Broadway role Gigi

Vanessa Hudgens is known for her bohemian style and being a party girl but all that has changed.
In a sneak peek of the star's Broadway debut, Gigi, the 26-year-old is the epitome of 1950s Parisian glamour.
In the video teaser released Monday, the Sucker Punch star could not look more like beloved icon Audrey Hepburn.

With a cartoon image of the Eiffel Tower behind her, Vanessa spins around in a strapless black ball gown.
Channelling the Breakfast At Tiffany star's look even further, in the trailer the High School Musical actress wears her hair up in a voluminous French Twist.
Not done there the young star also dons long opera gloves like Audrey's character wore, and uses them to playfully blow kisses at the camera.

And it is no wonder Vanessa has used the iconic actress as her inspiration as Audrey starred as the title role of the Colette novel when it was first brought to the stage in 1951.
In publicity photographs also released Monday, Vanessa wears another equally impressive black dress featuring a form fitting long skirt with a giant ball gown skirt over the top with a white lining.
The dress embraces both the style of the time the film version came out - 1958 - and also blends the turn of the century fashion from which the story is set.
Changing role: While the 25-year-old's big break was a Dsiney movie musical, this time she will be singing live in front of theatre goers

In the musical - the star's first to be on Broadway - Vanessa stars as Gigi, who was played by Leslie Caron in the film, a girl looking to find her way in the world.
The story - based on the 1944 book by the same name - follows Gaston a rich playboy who has become tired of Parisian society and strikes up a friendship with a youthful courtesan-in-training Gigi.
However, things do not stay platonic long and Gigi mist decide what she is looking for in life and love and whether Maurice is someone she can have that with.

'Making my Broadway debut with Gigi feels like a dream come true. I couldn't have planned it better myself.'
As for getting ready to sing on stage every night, the actress has been trying to push herself to let go of what she knows.
'It's been a lot of fun prepping for Gigi… allowing myself to be as free as possible. I love this character, the music and play so much.
