It's his first leading role on the big screen.
But all eyes were on Jack Whitehall's simply stunning girlfriend - Gemma Chan - as the couple stepped out to the world premiere of The Bad Education Movie in Leicester Square in London on Thursday evening.
Gemma - who is a talented actress herself - stole the style limelight as she slipped into a pretty floral frock.

Gemma's shirt dress was cinched at the waist, highlighting her slim figure, and adorned with a bold red-rose print.
The Humans star flashed her pristine pins in the one-piece which was cut just above her knee.
She added a pair of classic red Mary Jane heels and carried a similar shade of mini handbag.

Gemma looked polished to perfection with her hair worn in a middle parting and loosely tousled.
Rosy-pink cheeks, a dark red lip and a winning smile topped off her look.
Meanwhile, Jack, 27, looked every inch the man of the moment in a navy three-piece suit complete with pocket square.
The Fresh Meat actor's excitement was evident as he bounced the length of the carpet in between posing for photographs with his impeccably put-together partner.

The film adaptation of the laugh-a-minute BBC Three television series of the same name sees Jack's inept teacher Alfie Wickers take his school children on a trip to Cornwall, but things don't quite go to plan.
Harry Enfield, Mathew Horne and Sarah Solemani have all reprised their sitcom roles, while the likes of Jeremy Irvine and Joanna Scanlan are making their debut in the big-screen reworking.
Jack revealed the series will most likely be laid to rest following the movie, but promised the characters would go out with a bang following the school trip from hell.

'This is our characters going out on a bang, and if this is where it ends, then I think it's a really good place to leave them,' he told Digital Spy.
The star isn't expecting the comedy to be a big hit on the other side of the Atlantic because of its quintessentially British humour.
'What I love about this film is that it's so British, it'll have absolutely no appeal to an American audience whatsoever!,' he joked.
The Bad Education Movie is out for general release on August 21
