TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh pushes the dress code boundaries as she wears a cropped top to the races
As a fashion designer with her own Essex boutique, Lucy Mecklenburgh rarely puts a sartorial foot wrong.
However, few would agree the races are an appropriate place to wear a cropped top.
While The Only Way Is Essex star has a stunning figure, perhaps Newmarket races wasn't the best place to show it off.

Taut: Lucy is about to launch her new fitness website so is keen to show off the results of her workout regime
Attending the Suffolk racecourse with some of her TOWIE co-stars on Saturday, Lucy showed off her taut belly in a black and white dogtooth top and matching pencil skirt.
Despite her flash-fleshing misstep, the 21-year-old had at least followed races dress code by wearing a fascinator from Julien Macdonald's Star range.
She completed her ensemble with a pair of killer heels, black blazer and carried a Louis Vuitton clutch bag.
Different styles: Jessica Wright wore black lace, Billie Faiers wore a fitted blue number, while Sam opted for a floral maxi
Fancy a flutter: The four women were joined by Lucy's love interest Dan Osborne (far right) and his best friend James Locke
Although they don't specify no cropped tops, Newmarket races request women should 'dress for a smart occasion', with jeans, shorts, T-shirts, trainers and shorts among the banned items.
During the day, she tweeted: 'Had such a good day with the girlies! #races #champagne.'
While Lucy was showing off the results of her workout - which she is set to share when she launches her Results With Lucy fitness website on Monday - her co-stars went for a more sophisticated races style.
Girls' day: Lucy looked tiny in her cropped top as she posed alongside the curvy Faiers sisters
Going to town: Sam certainly looked the part in her striking pink hat
Forgetting their woes: Sam, Jessica and Lucy have all experienced love problems in recent weeks
Sam Faiers wore a bird-print cream maxi dress, which she teamed with a pale pink Jasper Conran hat, while her older sister Billie opted for a fitted blue dress and red fascinator.
Sam admitted she had overindulged on the champagne, tweeting: 'Had a lovely day at the races with the girls... Shattered now.. Peaked too soon - hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.'
Hold on to your hats: The women grab their hats during a windy moment
Cheers! The girls look through their race card as they make their bets
Meanwhile, their co-stars Jessica Wright wore a black lace 'Melanie' dress from her Lipstick Boutique range, while she teamed with a white blazer and wide brimmed Debenhams hat.
Also in attendance were their co-stars Dan Osborne and James Locke.
Despite Dan apparently ending his burgeoning romance with Lucy after finding out his ex-girlfriend was pregnant with his baby, the pair were spotted next to each other as they cheered on the jockeys.
Dapper: Dan and James certainly looked smart in their blue suits
Single ladies: Jessica has been spending lots of time with Lucy since her recent troubles with Ricky Rayment
