NEW YORK: Aiysha Hart and Jack Donnelly, the stars of the BBC fantasy drama Atlantis, explain to TV Drama how they came on board the project and what they like about their respective characters.
Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, Atlantis is a fantasy adventure series starring Hart (About Time) and Donnelly (Dancing on the Edge). The 13x1-hour production, set in the famed ancient lost city, comes from the creators of Merlinand Misfits. The show is distributed by BBC Worldwide and produced by Urban Myth Films for BBC Cymru Wales. It is co-produced by BBC America, where it debuted this fall as part of the channel's Supernatural Saturday programming block. Atlantis also airs on BBC One in the U.K. It has been renewed for a second season on both sides of the pond.
