Spice Girl Mel and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl took to the stage - alongside guests Steve Carell and Sir David Attenborough - shooting 'Girl Power' signs, as they bring the woman power to this year's X Factor judging panel. The playful pair seemed to be getting along famously since Mel took US singer Nicole Scherzinger's place in the reality TV line-up and Cheryl made her return to the show this year.
Despite having high praise for her stunning counterpart, boisterous Mel jokingly throttled the petite star after saying she'd only make a second appearance on the show if Cheryl was to take part too... and the producers would triple her salary.

Mel B, wearing an abs-flashing roll-neck top, complimented her co-star in conversation with host Jonathan, saying that she instantly knew she'd get along with Cheryl.
She said: 'I peeped her a little bit because I wanted to see exactly what she was like, and she is like a strong, independent, gorgeous woman so I knew that I’d get on with her straight away. How can you not?'
Cheryl, who shocked fans when she married this summer, revealed the date of her wedding to be the 7 July, gushing that married life with her new beau was 'great' and that the couple were still enjoying a blissful honeymoon period.

The Geordie lass admitted that her French counterpart had been teaching her French words, some of which she heard him say on the telephone but some that were too saucy to say on television.
Cheryl dropped her married name of 'Cole' for the French double barrel surname in early August, though 53-year-old Jonathan admitted to having some trouble pronouncing it.
Releasing her fourth studio album Only Human under the guise of just 'Cheryl', the singer discussed how she'd run her latest track 'I Don't Care' by Simon Cowell and even teased a collaboration with fellow judge Mel.
The girls said they'd been discussing linking up on a track, with Cheryl adding: 'We want to actually do a themed weekend [of live shows] where it’s Girls Aloud versus Spice Girls, that would be fun right!' Before Mel called out, 'I hope you’re watching that Simon, make it happen!'
The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 10.20pm, on ITV1.
