Frankie Bridge earns the first 10 points of the Strictly Come Dancing Week 3

Looks like Saturday is her night! Frankie Bridge earns the first 10 points of the Strictly Come Dancing series

It's as competitive as any sport.
So it's appropriate that Strictly Come Dancing was a game of two halves on Saturday night - namely one of success, one of failure.
The Saturdays' Frankie Bridge earned the first ten points of the series, in part thanks to her impressive dance partner, while others - including Judy Murray and Mark Wright, failed miserably.

Generous: Donny gave the first full-marks of the series to Frankie and her handsome helper

Frankie - who was joined by her footballer husband Wayne Bridge - appeared to be in high spirits as she earned the accolade.
The chart star, 25, wore a hot-pink and red dress to garner the top-ranking score from guest judge Donny Osmond.
He described her performance as 'stunning' and 'graceful', adding that she is a natural dancing talent.

Also receiving high praise was EastEnders' Jake Wood, who was pretty much declared man of the match, last week.
Wearing a tuxedo, he re-created a dance from The Godfather, to fulfil the show's movie-themed evening.
Jokingly, Donny said: Considering you play such soft and cuddly characters on TV, I'm surprised you could portray aggression so convincingly - but well done. you were excellent'.

Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker also wowed the judges as she and partner Brendan Cole went old school with an American smooth to The Way You Look Tonight from the Fred Astaire film Swing Time.
Pop star Pixie Lott also garnered plaudits with her Beauty and the Beast-tracked routine.
Wearing a blue dress faithful to the Disney film, she later admitted that she was 'living every little girls' dream - as well as her own'.
She also ended up in the top half of the leader-board with a strong score, as did Caroline Flack who was tipped as a potential finalist.

However, not everybody had such a successful night.
Radio DJ Scott Mills had his performance decimated by the critics, who summed it up as cringe-worthy. Not least because he was dressed as a crab.
In fact, Craig Revel-Horwood claimed it was 'one of the worst things I've ever seen'.

Tim Wonnacott did no better, with Len Goodman saying that it was almost a comedy performance.
The same reception was granted to Mark Wright, who danced dressed as Superman - but was anything less than heroic on the dancefloor.
In fact, the judges lost composure over what Darcey described as 'bizarre'.

Mrs Brown actress Jenny Gibney faced similar scorn for lacking co-ordination and - awkwardly - miming the words to Mamma Mia.
'You got lost in the Meryl Streep side of it all,' said Bruno. 'You need to balance that by controlling it and delivering something stylistic.'
The Mrs Brown's Boys star finished second bottom on judges' scores after her foxtrot fell flat in front of a panel that included 70s pop star Donny Osmond as a guest judge.
The winner of Dancing With The Stars, the US version of the hit show, was an excitable if slightly unpredictable judge on a movie-themed weekend of performances.
Bookie Coral made Gibney the 6-4 favourite to leave Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow evening, with another cool, calm and collected performance by EastEnders star Jake Wood seeing his winning odds shortened to 9-4.
Spokesman John Hill said: 'Jennifer Gibney and Judy Murray both look under pressure following tonight's performances but we make the Mrs Brown's Boys actress the hot favourite to exit in the elimination show.
'Punters are even more convinced that Jake Wood is going to take the top prize this year as he has been backed even further after another solid display.'
It was funtime Frankie Bridge as the Saturdays star was top performer with a sizzling pasodoble with Kevin Clifton, set to America from West Side Story, which gained the first 10 of the series from Osmond.
Meanwhile, former Blue singer Simon Webbe was criticised for leaving viewers 'cold'.

Perhaps the worst contestant tonight was Judy Murray, who was likened to Nelson's column.
The grey-haired hopeful performed a quick-step with Anton to Don't Rain On My Parade from Funny Girls, but struggled to deliver a winning performance.
The judges described her efforts as 'unrehearsed'.
Craig Revel-Horwood was the most scathing, saying: 'Your posture is appalling. In fact, I thought you had rigor mortis'.
Bruno added: 'You were stiffer than Nelson's column'.
Len Goodman lightened the mood by calling it 'fine' - jokingly telling Anton to improve, before adding: 'You've got to let it go a bit more, otherwise nobody's going to enjoy it.'
Fortunately, Alison Hammond and Steve Backshall added some much-needed middle ground ahead of tomorrow's dance-off.
