'It's the end of the line': Peter Capaldi lets slip that Jenna Coleman could be killed off on next Doctor Who episode... as he hints that Maisie Williams will replace her

Suspense has been building over when Jenna Coleman will bow out of Doctor Who - and whether she'll be able to return.
But actor Peter Capaldi appeared to silence reports on Friday night's The Graham Norton Show when he said Saturday night's Face The Raven would be 'the end of the line' for Clara Oswald.
Peter, 57, has been assisted by the 29-year-old companion for two years, and as he admitted that her exit would be sad and strange, he simultaneously hinted at Maisie Williams' addition to the cast.

Goodbye for good? Peter Capaldi (left) hinted on Friday night that Saturday night's Face The Raven episode of Doctor Who would be Jenna Coleman's last as Clara Oswald (right) - and she won't be coming back
Speaking about the forthcoming episode, Peter revealed: 'It's a sad one, gripping and very strange.
'And it's the end of the line for Clara Oswald played by Jenna Coleman who's been my companion for the last two years. It's the end of her story. I don't want to go into the details of it, but it's sad.'
And on whether she would be gone for good, he added: 'It’s the end of her story. I don’t want to go into the details of it, but it’s sad.’
When pushed about a return he continued: ‘Sometimes people can’t come back. Sometimes things happen that they can’t come back from.'

Jenna made her debut in September 2012 but returned in 2013 and took over from Karen Gillan, previously serving under the 11th carnation of Doctor Who, Matt Smith.
She confirmed the news after many months of speculation in September but the details of her departure were left unconfirmed.
lt confirmed that her final scenes came as a 'surprise' to her, telling Digital Spy: 'I’m very satisfied. It was a surprise when I read the script, as it always is with Steven’s (Moffat) scripts.'

She's always maintained that she'd love to make a return to the show, but it would depend on the script.
Her exit will tie in with Game Of Thrones actress Maisie's reappearance in the show, following the success of her featurette in Season 9, reprising her role as immortal Ashildr.
Peter dropped a hint that Maisie would be an accomplished new companion when he said: 'I can't answer questions like that but Maisie is fantastic, she's been in Game of Thrones since she was 12 and is very assured.
'I was doing a shot with her and when they called "action" she slightly pulled me back. When I asked her what she was doing she said, "You were in my light." But she is lovely.'
