She may only be 16 years old but Mel B's eldest daughter is growing up to be one stylish lady as she proved when the pair stepped out to an awards bash in Mexico City on Tuesday evening.

Phoenix commanded attention as she and her mother arrived at the Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Award Ceremony, dressed in matching black.

The youngster looked mature beyond her teenage years as she towered over Mel, 40, in her stilettos.

Phoenix successfully owned the spotlight, over Mel, as the mother-and-daughter pair posed on the red carpet.

She slipped into a little black dress which was wrap-over and button-down in design while the former Spice Girl spiced things up in a black bustier and sheer-panel trousers.

Phoenix looked confident in her high-heeled strappy sandals as she cosied up to the mother who gladly showed her the ropes.

Mel too favoured a slicked-back 'do with professionally-applied contouring and a slick of pale pink lipstick offsetting her all-black look.

'And off we go #motherdaughtertime,' the former X Factor judge captioned a sweet pre-party selfie of her and Phoenix.
