After an onslaught of professional woes, Maria Sharapova is no doubt in desperate need of a break.
The 28-year-old tennis pro was spied living it up in Mexico with good friend Chelsea Handler on Monday, as they continue their sun-soaked getaway.
Maria, who is in the midst of a suspension after taking a banned substance, looked sensational in a red bikini while Chelsea, 41, kept things simple in a black two-piece.

The Russian sportswoman was clearly determined to shirk her sorrows, after she failed a drug test earlier this month and admitted to taking a banned substance.
Looking as though her woes were a million miles away, Maria larked around on the shores while showing off her incredible athletic physique in her tiny two-piece.
With the bikini boasting an incredibly simple shape with a bra-style top and tie-side bottoms, the tennis ace allowed her figure to do all the talking.

Pulling on a protective pair of sunglasses, she paired shielding her eyes from the sun with looking incredibly chic, due to their no doubt-designer look.
Her beach ensemble was mostly accessory free, save for a bundle of bracelets stacked up on her wrists, which she clutched on to as she bandied around in the surf.
She took to Instagram to share a sweet snap on the beach and added the caption: 'We came prepared and color coordinated...'

No doubt the trip comes at a good time for the championship tennis player as she was dropped from a slew of endorsements and asked to step down as a United Nations ambassador after she admitted to failing a drug test.

As a result Maria, who was the world's highest-paid female athlete, was suspended from ber deals with Nike and Porsche, among other brands.
At a press conference in Los Angeles earlier this month, Maria admitted she had tested positive for meldonium, a drug she had been taking for a decade, during the Australian Open in January.
The International Tennis Federation provisionally suspended her from the sport on March 12, though they haven't said how long her suspension will last.
Maria and Chelsea may seem like unlikely friends but they did team up at a pro am tennis tournament in Los Angeles back in December.
The two ladies definitely work well as a team together as they defeated their male counterparts Will Arnett and Andy Roddick, 3-1, in the exhibition match.
