She's considered a style icon in her own right, creating her own designs and leading the style crowds.

But Rita Ora decided to take inspiration from another influential fashion figure as she channeled fifties siren Marilyn Monroe in a sultry selfie. 

Wearing her golden tresses in vintage style loose waves, she bore an uncanny resemblance to the silver screen star as she gazed sultrily down the lens.

Framing her hazel coloured peepers with lashings of mascara, she gave her look a vampish quality with a sweep of smokey eye shadow.

With bronzer lining her cheekbones and dark pencil filling in her brows, the Hot Right Now singer finished off her expertly applied make-up with a slick of crimson lipstick on her plump pout.

Adding to the vintage vibes of her look, she layered up in a white feather cape that was synonymous with the old Hollywood glamour.

Quizzed whether her break-ups would feature on her new record, Rita told The Sun: 'Yeah, I’ve got about two of those records.

'But the thing is I get angry first then I get emotional. I hate hate hate hate hate that person and then I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, hold on . . .’

Perrie Edwards channels old Hollywood glamour in a glitzy sweetheart gown as she enjoys flirty Marilyn Monroe sing-a-long

Perrie Edwards came over all Marilyn Monroe on Friday as she slipped into a gold glitzy frock for Little Mix's Royal Variety performance.

With old Hollywood waves in her hair and a crimson lipstick slicked on, the beauty turned up a Marilyn classic and playfully posed away in a new black and white Instagram video.

Single lady Perrie was hot to trot in her sweetheart gown and false lashes, bopping along to the tune of I Wanna Be Loved By You.

Prepping for a big performance in front of Prince Harry at The Royal Albert Hall, the singer had a suitably plush dressing room to get her stage ready.

The four piece band - also featuring Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall - will take to the stage with some of the music from their new album Get Weird.

But the quartet of feisty ladies are a little more excited about meeting the 'hot,' 'bad boy' of the royal family.

Speaking to Press Association, Jesy said: 'I think he's more of the bad boy... he seems to disobey the rules more.'

And newly-single Perrie added: 'We've always wanted to do it and now that we're doing it, I'm really nervous ... it's a big deal, a very big deal.'

Perrie is no long attached after splitting with her fiance Zayn Malik back in August and recently confessed that she's 'single and ready to mingle'. 

The Little Mix singer revealed that she had started to use social media to find romance, telling You magazine that she is active on Instagram when it comes to men.

While she ruled out the possibility of turning to dating app Tinder she quipped: 'Instagram is good for dating.'

The pretty blonde also passed up the opportunity to set the record straight when it came to Zayn. Throughout their relationship Perrie was plagued by rumours he had cheated. 

When asked if she wanted to clarify anything she replied: 'No, not really. Everyone is going to talk, but nobody knows what went on behind closed doors and that’s the way it is.’

And after calling time on the romance in August she's conceded that it was a difficult period for her.

'It was a hard time,' she explained. 'But we’re having so much fun as a band and I’ve got my three girls. I’m so thankful I’ve got this lot.' 

On Thursday night the former One Direction singer was spotted out at Nobu with actress Wallis, who bears a striking resemblance to Perrie. 

Perrie and Zayn met in 2012 when his former band performed on the X Factor show, while Perrie was a contestant. 

Zayn proposed in August 2013 but their romance was not to last and the pair announced they had ended their relationship three months ago.
