Pretty in pastels! Gigi Hadid dons big curly turquoise wig and large matching rings as she puckers up for Vogue Italia cover

She is set to walk down her first catwalk for Victoria's Secret in a matter of days.
And Gigi Hadid's modelling career keeps on skyrocketing as she will be featured on the cover of the November of Vogue Italia.
The 20-year-old star puckered her pink pastel lips for the front of the high-fashion magazine in the preview shared by the publication's Instagram on Friday.

Famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, who is best known for his work in both the Italian and American versions of Vogue, snapped the portrait as she was styled by French stylist Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele.
There was definitely an Eighties feel to the picture as there were plenty of pastel colours on display including a huge curtly turquoise wig along with large silver rings with matching jewels.
Along with the pink lipstick, her make-up consisted of rosy blush on the cheeks in addition to smokey eye make-up and heavy mascara.

Gigi's mother Yolanda Foster was definitely proud of her high-fashion daughter as she re-posted the cover to share with her 1.2million followers on Friday morning.
The 51-year-old Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star posted it with the message: '[Heart emoji] Congratulations my love @gigihadid on your @vogueitalia cover by Steven Meisel #ProudMommy #BigGoals Accomplished.'

We are sick of stick ...curvy is the new size 0

We are sick of stick ...curvy is the new size 0

Page 3 beauty Lacey Banghard on
model Chloe Hayward — a size 12

New face of fashion ... Chloe Hayward boasts a size 12 figure and 30FF bust

AS I write this I’m about to tuck into a chicken kebab with a healthy portion of hummus on the side – and I’m on a photoshoot.

That’s one of the joys of my job — Page 3 is pro-curves, so I can eat, work, enjoy and be happy.
And it looks like up-and-coming model Chloe Hayward is a girl after my own heart.
You might not recognise her name yet, but you soon will.

Lacey Banghard
'We are not perfect' ... Lacey says she and her Page 3 pals embrace their curves

This month the London-born beauty graces the cover of Italian Vogue Beauty — and puts curves firmly on the front page.
With her sultry looks, fabulous figure and 30FF bust, the 24-year-old is being hailed as the British version of statuesque Sports Illustrated US model Kate Upton

Chloe, who was spotted aged 16 trying on shoes in Topshop and signed to Next Models in 2009, has a refreshingly healthy attitude to the industry.

Cover girl ... Chloe Hayward

Talking about body image she has said: “Eating is life. I love cooking for my friends and family and I would hate for any young girl to be deprived of that happiness.”
I absolutely adore her pictures in Italian Vogue Beauty.
Shot by top photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, they are stylish, fashionable and ooze sex appeal.
And when curves look this good, why is there any need for size zero models?
Us girls are sick of seeing sticks in our magazines, we want to see real women with meat on their bones.
I find it quite depressing flicking through the pages of some titles. And if that is how it makes ME feel — someone who not only embraces their curves but also makes a living from them — then how must it make more self-conscious people feel?
I hate to think of my five-year-old niece growing up surrounded by unrealistic and unhealthy images of minuscule models.
But finally the fashion industry seems to be cottoning on.
Models like Chloe and Kate are paving the way for a more positive era.

Chloe has said of Kate: “If anyone is doing well in their work and promoting a great body image which is healthy then I’ll always congratulate that. I think it’s especially important for young girls to see a realistic image of a woman who is happy, and Kate looks great.
“It’s hugely flattering to be compared with someone like her.”
Clearly Chloe is delighted about being pegged as the British Kate Upton — and I would be, too.
Kate is a huge success story in my eyes.

Kelly Brook
Kel of a body ... curvy model and TV presenter Brook

The American beauty has racked up covers for US and British Vogue and a huge ad campaign for Accessorize. Yet she was once told she wasn’t good enough to model for Victoria’s Secret while they signed super-skinny stars like Adriana Lima.
At the time, the lingerie firm’s casting agent made this rather catty comment about Kate: “She’s like a Page 3 girl.
“She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blonde hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”
Obviously this statement went down like a Slim-Fast shake with me — not well.

I find it so frustrating that we Page 3 girls are accused of being bad role models when actually we promote a healthy body image. We are all different shapes and sizes, we aren’t perfect but we embrace our bodies.
I have a 30FF bust and a 30-25-34 frame — us girls should be celebrating the way we look and striking a balance between being happy and staying healthy.
But things are getting better. Australian model Robyn Lawley is a plus-size star, Kelly Brook is a great curvy pin-up and Tara Lynn is another Vogue cover girl with serious curves.

Robyn Lawley
Aussie rules ... size 14 model Robyn Lawley is another success story

It’s not just the fashion world that is broadening its horizons.
Hollywood is enjoying booming busts and booties with stars like Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks flaunting her curves. Then there’s Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera working it in the music industry. These are the modern women we want to emulate.
Recently in River Island I was confronted by an image in store of a shockingly thin girl modelling the Georgia Hardinge range.
I thought: “Wow, is that what this shop think us regular customers want to look like?” Well, guess what, big brands, you’re more likely to sell your clothes if you show them off on real women — that is what we can relate to.

The message is clear. The stick insect look is dated — heroin chic might have been big in the Nineties but this is 2013.
And with models like Chloe Hayward being at the forefront of fashion, the pro-curves movement will keep getting bigger.

By KELLY BROOK
IT’S fantastic that models like Kate Upton and Chloe Hayward are flying the flag for curvy girls in the fashion world.

A real woman should have curves. It’s sad that so many young, impressionable girls are faced with images of seriously thin models and think this is the way they should look.

Having an hourglass figure, boobs and bum is all part of being a woman. Size zero is over. Lots of girls say they admire my figure and, to me, that’s the most important thing.

Young women should have role models who aren’t constantly on diets and brainwashed about fitting into tiny clothes. I dress to accentuate my curves, like Marilyn Monroe did. She oozed glamour with her shapely silhouette.

My New Look underwear and swimwear range offers pieces for busty beauties so a large range of sizes are catered for and there is something for everyone.

I am proud of my curves. I hope this marks the beginning of healthy figures in fashion.

Plus-size model Candice Huffine bares all in nude photoshoot for Spanish magazine as industry rallies against size zero

Plus-size model Candice Huffine bares all in nude photoshoot for Spanish magazine as industry rallies against size zero

Plus-size beauty Candice Huffine has landed yet another magazine cover.
After flaunting her curves of Vogue Italia's 'Real Beauties' issue last July, she is now the star of Spain’s S Moda.
Wearing nothing but heels and a diamante choker the 27-year-old's appearance comes weeks after Vogue launched a campaign to ban the use of ultra-thin models.

The size 14 Maryland native, who claims she doesn't 'exercise because I travel too often', scored her first modeling contract in 2000.

While she was successful in the commercial market, she crossed over into the world of high fashion after Sølve Sundsbø booked her for V magazine's Size Issue in 2010.
She has since graced the cover of Italian Vogue and recently scooped a spread in W magazine’s March issue, shot by Mert and Marcus.
British fashion photographer Damon Baker, who has worked with the likes of Lily Cole, Andre Pejic and Pixie Geldof, captured Candice for her latest assignment with S Moda.
On the front of the glossy she is pictured unclothed posing on a leather chair, while the strapline reads 'Reales y rotundas,' or 'Real and well-rounded'.

On trend: Candice Huffine (centre) on the cover of July's Vogue Italia issue with plus-size models Tara Lynn and Robyn Lawley
Meanwhile the inside spread features a mixture of Fifties-inspired pinup shots, accompanied by an article exploring why the classic womanly shape has been replaced by a skinnier ideal.
Candice notes: '[The Vogue Italia] editorial opened the eyes of the industry and proved that we are beautiful, sexy and good models. Now people want to see more.
    'It changed my life.'
This month in a statement published across all of its 19 international editions Vogue magazine promised not to use underage and underweight models.
A six-point pact, called ‘The Health Initiative’, issued by its publisher Conde Nast, aims at encouraging a healthier approach to body image within the fashion industry, which has been lambasted for promoting anorexia.
And Candice agrees that attitudes are starting to shift, adding:  'Past disputes [over Photoshop] have made the industry understand the people what they want to see is real girls.'
The last plus-size model to feature on the cover of Vogue, before Candice's appearance last year was Sophie Dahl as a size 14.

Kim Kardashian tries out a short wig as she shows off her stunning curves in corseted dress for sexy new shoot

No-one's looking at your hair! Kim Kardashian tries out a short wig as she shows off her stunning curves in corseted dress for sexy new shoot

She's had her fair share of sexy shoots, so it is becoming increasingly difficult for Kim Kardashian to push the boundaries when it comes to finding new ways to show off her curves.
But the 31-year-old reality star certainly managed it yesterday as she donned a corseted dress which highlighted her incredible curves on the set of a shoot in Los Angeles.
And there was no chance of anyone being distracted by the short brunette wig Kim was sporting for the shoot for Vogue Italia magazine.

As Kim's incredible hourglass figure was distraction enough, particularly for her new boyfriend Kanye West, who joined her on the LA set of the shoot.
However, it seems that perhaps the sample sizes of the dresses were not used to curves like Kim's, as at one point the reality star found that her ample cleavage popped out of the tight leather dress she was sporting.
As well as the figure-hugging leather dress, Kim also showcased her curves in a stunning feathered gown, as well as donning a bizarre warrior-style outfit of leather trousers and a kimono-style top with boots for another segment of the shoot.

Earlier in the day, Kim looked the spitting image of her mother Kris Jenner, 56, as she got to work on the shoot.
She seemed to be paying tribute to her parent on the American Mother’s Day, donning the short wig and baring an uncanny resemblance to the matriarch.
After spending the morning with Kris, Kim tweeted: ‘Happy Mothers Day!!! Had an amazing breakfast with the family...now off to a special shoot today!’
Whoops! Kim revealed a little too much as her cleavage proved a bit too ample for a tight leather dress on the set

Kim had onlookers talking when she slipped on skin-tight leather dress to a very casual basketball date with her boyfriend Kanye West yesterday.
But perhaps there was a reason behind her inconvenient choice of clothing as she watched the LA Lakers play the Denver Nuggets.
The raven-haired beauty was spotted in an extremely similar fitted frock on the shoot today, so maybe she was simply practicing for a day in the animal skin.

Kim could be seen getting her ample curves squeezed into the black dress, which fell above-the-knees and appeared to leave no room for movement.

As the magazine's contributing fashion editor Rushka Bergman fitted a belt around her waist, Kim would have had trouble staying upright in the towering heels which went over her sheer hosiery.
Kim was joined on the job in Los Angeles’ Chinatown by her boyfriend Kanye, who patiently sat in a chair as aides fussed over her behind giant black screens.

Kardashian looked like she’d be spending plenty of time switching into different ensembles with an array of clothing displayed on the clothing rails.
Although an inspiration board showed black and white images of androgynous models and old time paparazzi shots, she seemed to be channelling her manager mother Jenner even more so when she switched into a leather jacket and shorts.
She teamed the look with huge sunglasses and knee-high boots which she wore over fishnet tights.
