Last year Little Mix made history on the X Factor when they became the first girl band to ever win the talent show.

They were then catapulted into the spotlight and managed to score a number one hit with their debut record Cannonball.

But now the girls are finally ready to take the industry by storm with their first original single Wings which they exclusively performed at T4 on the Beach earlier today.

The four-piece were obviously eager to take to the stage and perform their latest single as they spent the last week counting it down on their Twitter account.

Yesterday, Pierre Edwards tweeted: 'Just arrived in Weston-super-mare for sound check! Ahh, T4 on the beach is so close! I'm so darn excited! Who's excited?!? Perrie <3'

And just a few hours ago before they hit the stage, the band uploaded a post that read: 'Hi Mixers! The day the four of us have been waiting for has FINALLY come!'

The song which is about self-empowerment proved to be popular with the girls' fans as their loyal followers rushed to their keyboards to let the ladies know what their thoughts were on the songs.

One fan wrote: '@Littlemixoffic I'm in tears :') Wings is so beautiful and I am so proud to be a little mixer :) xxxxd'

While another supporter said: '@LittleMixOffic It is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Had it on replay for the past 2 hours! Love you girls! ‪#Proud‬ <3'

Happy with the way their performance went and how well received the song had been so far the girls took to the micro-blogging site to show their appreciation.

They tweeted: 'Omgoshhh what an amazing experience today has been! T4OTB was jst wicked! Thank you guys for all your lovely comments about our new single!'

Which they quickly followed with another post that read: 'And thank you for trending us worldwideeeee! just amazing! We love you little mixers so much! Lots of Love Little Mix! :) x'

Dressed in their usual girly ensembles, the girls looked like the new faces of girl power.

Both Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Pierre, 19 showed off their toned legs in a pair of short shorts and whereas Jade Thirlwall opted to wear a pair of cropped jeans with a pair of braces.

Standing out from the group, Jesy Nelson, 20, wore a pair of harem trousers which were decorated with dominos and she teamed the outfit with patent black boots and a sports jersey.

Despite the fact that her latest album Heartbreak On Hold has failed to place well in the charts Alexandra Burke is still smiling.

The former X factor champ made sure to take in all the sun she could on her final day in Miami as she took to the beach one last time on Wednesday.

Keen to show off her trim figure, the Let It Go singer said goodbye to the scorching weather in a patterned monokini.

The high spirited 23-year-old was pictured laughing as she splashed around in the water.

Wearing her long locks back in one, Burke accessorised with a long silver necklace and a pair of aviator sunglasses.

She was seen hitting the outdoor shower as her friend appeared to adjust the back of her one-piece to avoid any mishaps.

Alexandra who is now back in London will have to work hard to push her second studio album to be a success as it has only managed to sell 6,371 according to reports in the Daily Star on Sunday.

The album which featured monster hit Elephant dropped out of the top 40 after poor sales which is a massive difference in comparison to her debut album Overcome which sold 132,065 in its first week.

And keeping that in mind Alexandra took to the stage this afternoon at T4 On The Beach where she wowed the audience with her amazing vocal talents.

Having just touched down from her recent break away in Miami Alexandra Burke wasted no time getting back to work.

The 23-year-old singer took to Weston to put on an energetic showing at this year's T4 On The Beach.

And while no-one can deny that the songstress has an amazing figure, it's safe to say that she doesn't always do it justice with some of her outfit choices.

But Tulisa Contostavlos returned to her more casual roots today as she took to the T4 on the Beach stage.

The N-Dubz star ditched her mini-dresses and playsuits to step out in casual attire which consisted of denim shorts and high-top trainers.

She finished off the look with a longsleeved zip-up top and a black leather waistcoat.

And Tulisa wore her long dark hair in a side ponytail as she belted out her track Young during the Weston-Super-Mare event.

It's a far cry from how we've seen her dressed recently as she's smartened up her look for her judging role on The X Factor with a series of figure hugging dresses.

Set to release her debut album ORA in September the blonde bombshell revealed to The Sun that her fans would be in for a 'shock' as it will draw influence from several genres.

She told the paper: 'It's going to be a shock, but in a good way. It brings together a few different aspects of music I've loved and listened to growing up. Literally, I haven't listened to just one style of music since I was little.'

She continued: 'I love Little Dragon and The Vaccines, but then I love B.I.G. and TLC and Destiny's Child, so you can expect variety. No Doubt was also a big influence on me while making this record, so you're going to hear all the ins and outs of those kind of genres.'
