Rihanna raised more than a few tweaked eyebrows when she attended the launch of Chanel’s Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2013-14 collection in Paris. 

The sultry singer is currently travelling Europe while on her lengthy Diamonds World Tour, but took some time away from the road for a day of haute couture at the French capital’s Grand Palais on Tuesday.

But while the latest collection from Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld was top of the agenda, Rihanna made sure all eyes were on her after as she went braless under an oversized shirt dress – and very little else.

With a single button protecting the singer’s modesty, attention was drawn to her exposed cleavage, which was only partially covered by the stunning array of pearl necklaces she wore around her neck.

Rihanna’s matching heels with black detail and cream bag were the perfect accompaniment for her racy dress, one of Lagerfeld’s latest creations for the Chanel brand. 

The singer’s exposed dress also showed off some of her distinctive tattoos – amongst them the large, winged dedication to her late grandmother etched beneath her breasts.

But even she seemed a little self-conscious as she clutched her bag to her lap in a vain attempt to conceal her modesty.

Rihanna’s simple make-up and surprisingly natural hair ensured ensured her dress – and her body – caught most of the attention when she arrived for a backstage photo-call.  

Given her raunchy look, one wonders what Anna Wintour thought.

The famously forthright Vogue editor was also in attendance, arriving in a two-piece suit with her eyes hidden behind a pair of trademark sunglasses.

Rihanna’s relationship with Wintour soured last year when she reportedly kept the firebrand waiting for more than 40 minutes while she had her nails painted before last year’s Met Ball – hosted by Wintour – in New York City.

‘Rihanna planned to walk the carpet with everyone else but, sadly, her nails and manicurist took far longer than expected,’ a source later told the Mirror. 

‘Her chauffeur was told to drive around the block several times, as she made last-minute changes, but her ‘people’ didn’t warn organisers she’d be late.

'She missed her slot on the red carpet and left Anna in a frenzy.

‘The pair had a heated conversation during the champagne reception. Rihanna will not be invited to any of her future events any time soon.’ 

Other stars to attend the Chanel show included actresses Virginie Ledoyan, Astrid Berges-Frisbey and Twilight star Kristen Stewart – who showed off her legs in a pair of short-shorts, which she teamed with a white double-breasted jacket.

The Twilight star teamed her outfit with fingerless black leather gloves, silver bracelets and black high heels.

Vanessa Paradis also arrived at the show, looking casual but stunning in a frilly white shirt and slim fitting black trousers and a black jacket slung over her shoulders.

The former Chanel model sat alongside Boardwalk Empire star Michael Pitt and Stewart for the show.

Fashion designer and model Mila Jovovich was also in attendance, sporting a long grey skirt and sleeveless top.

She sat alongside French actress and model Clemence Poesy, while British TV presenter Alexa Chung posed with model Amber Anderson.

Meanwhile, Rose Bryne glittered in a floor length black patterned maxi-dress and chic updo.

Emily Blunt charms fans at Comic-Con as Adrianne Curry resorts to stripping off

They say that elegance will win over provocation every time.

And Emily Blunt proved the point by charming fans in a tasteful white dress at Comic Con in San Diego.

She posed at the event with her co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt as they promoted their forthcoming film, noir science fiction movie Looper.

And the 29-year-old Adjustment Bureau favourite was only too happy to stop and sign autographs for fans as she soaked up the unique atmosphere.

It's a tough job stealing the show at an event as huge as Comic-Con.

And Adrianne Curry took a far different path to achieving the trick to her more famous rival, donning a daring barely-there ensemble in a crowd swarming with celebrities.

The feisty America's Next Top Model winner, 29, showed off her enviable figure as she posed up in the skin-baring outfit and curled her hand into a fist.

It is hardly the first time the 29-year-old has flaunted her curves at the event.

In fact she seems to be quite the sci-fi geek, as last year she posed up in an almost equally daring Aeon Flux costume, bringing a smile to the face of the fans in attendance.

It seemed she was toning it down this year after she dressed as Raptor Jesus at the Stan Lee's World of Heroes event earlier this week, but she had obviously decided it was time to vamp it up again.

She was not the only celebrity who gave nerds a reason to cheer at the world's biggest comic convention.

For a veritable galaxy of stars had turned out, with many wearing outfits that seemed designed to quicken the pulse.

Twilight star Christian Serratos looked far from the raven haired beauty who won a legion of fans in the vampire romance series.

And while some will there will be doubts about whether her new blonde look is a success, her figure looked as wonderful as ever in a white and gold dress that boasted an fantastically high hemline.

She was joined at the Maxim and FX party by Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood, who looked as macho as ever in a pullover, jeans and trainers.

Meanwhile Joseph Gordon-Levitt looked like the cat who got the cream as he posed with co-star Emily Blunt at an event to promote their upcoming film Looper.

And no wonder, as the Adjustment Bureau star looked ravishing in a flattering white dress.

The TV adaptation of Teen Wolf was well represented also, as starlets Crystal Reed and Holland Roden were both in attendence.

And Big Bang Theory fans were thrilled by the cast as they held an interview for Extra, while comics guru and Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee brought some much needed credibility to the event's raison d'être by attending.
