Rosario Dawson pays tribute to her Cuban heritage with Havana Nights-inspired photoshoot for O Magazine

Rosario Dawson embraces her heritage and flaunts her beauty in an exotic Cuban-inspired fashion spread in the April issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.

The 35-year-old actress donned mixed prints, boho beaded necklaces and a stunning white feather skirt while paying homage to her Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, Irish and Native American roots during the playful Havana Nights-themed photoshoot.

'My grandmother had a really great way with mixing patterns and colors,' Dawson said of her family's sense of style. 'It all looked so good with her beautiful white hair and dark skin.'

And Rosario looks just as lovely in the images taken by photographer Lorenzo Agius.

One photo shows the actress modeling a strapless floral top and a glamorous feathered skirt by former Project Runway star Christian Siriano as she casually lounges on regal sofa.

'This skirt is like a cloud of shredded coconut,' she said. 'It's very luxurious and dramatic at the same time.'

Another captures her outside, holding on to a rustic door as she stares into the blue sky and seductively lifts up her patterned A-line skirt.

Eclectic style: The actress's polka dot dress and oversized hoop earrings stood out against the pale pink stucco wall she was leaning on 

In addition to the eclectic styling, Rosario was also thrilled with inspiration behind the spread.  

'I love the whole "Havana Nights" theme of the shoot,' she said. 'I had great old Spanish music playing on my iPod.'

She added: 'It was a mix from Mathew Schreyer – he's a DJ and my ex-boyfriend, and he's got good taste.'

The glamorous shoot is a far cry from Rosario's gritty new role in Marvel's Daredevil.

Last year, it was announced that she would play nurse Claire Temple in the highly-anticipated Netflix TV series, which is set to debut on April 10.

She's the proud new mother of twin boys so of course she wants to show off their pictures.

Zoe Saldana couldn't resist whipping out her phone to share images of Bowie and Cy with Rosario Dawson at Alfre Woodard's Oscars Sistahs Soiree at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills on Wednesday evening.

Rosario smiled delightedly at the snaps of the tots, born on November 27, as the 36-year-old looked on.

The new mom looked fabulous in a ruffled blue Lanvin frock, belted at the waist, and printed high-heeled pumps.She accessorised with a black clutch.

At the event, she dished to InStyle about what it’s like to dress for the red carpet just a few months after giving birth.

'When you have just had babies, two babies, you sort of let go and you’re not as demanding when it comes to fashion,' she told the magazine. 'You ask yourself, "What is very flattering as my body is sort of getting itself together again?"'

Zoe is also a presenter at the Academy Awards on Sunday and she revealed she is feeling good about her dress - and the fact that she and her artist husband Marco Perego, 35, will get a date night 'after three months in our baby cave.'

'This is a rare occasion for us,' Zoe said, adding, 'I’m pretty sure as soon as we go and I present, we’re going to be anxious to get home, to see what the babies are up to.

'We’re going to force ourselves to stay out because we have a great team of people that will be looking after them. It’s a great night to be out, so we want to try and enjoy it.'

Rosario, who looked stunning in a sleeveless scarlet romper, cuddled up to Kerry.

The Scandal star rocked a V-neck dress with a blue bodice and white skirt painted with blue and yellow flowers.

Viola was pretty in a pink strapless dress and gold sandals as she draped an arm around Alfre, who donned a black chiffon dress with a cape attached at the shoulders and sparkly flats. 

The 87th Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will take place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and be aired live on ABC.

On Wednesday evening, reality star turned model Kendall Jenner looked runway ready as she arrived at the amfAR New York Gala.

Kendall, 19, looked like a seasoned fashion model as she confidently posed at the event, which was held at Cipriani Wall Street.

Wearing a thigh-high split red Romona Keveza gown and dazzling diamond jewelry, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star virtually stole the limelight from the other stars attending.

Complementing her look were a pair of gold Christian Louboutin heels and red lipstick matching her dress.

She was also seen chatting to high fashion model Coco Rocha, who showed off her bump in a tight fitting dress.

Kendall and her sister Kylie recently announced this month that Topshop is to be the exclusive stockist of their new clothing range.

The sisters have agreed a deal to sell their KENDALL & KYLIE young contemporary collection through the high street store and online.

The line will launch this summer and is inspired by the girls' 'LA lifestyle'.

A post on their official website read: 'Topshop to be the exclusive global stockist of the KENDALL & KYLIE young contemporary collection. A collection designed by sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner will be stocked exclusively at selected Topshop stores globally and online at TOPSHOP.COM.

While Kendall mingled with the young supermodels-in-the-making, veterans Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell and Iman rocked the red carpet in their gorgeous gowns.

Actors Jeremy Piven and Zachary Quinto represented the men looking dapper in their suits.
