Scary Spice! Mel B lives up to her nickname on X Factor

She really is Scary Spice! Mel B lives up to her nickname as she leaves 82-year-old singer on verge of tears on X Factor

Mel B left an 82-year-old contestant on the verge of tears and lived up to her name of Scary Spice.
After pensioner Louis Dilke performed Adele's My Love, she said: 'I wanted to fall asleep through that, I'm sorry I have to be honest. It's a no.'
With Louis looking devastated, judges Louis Walsh and Gary tried to plead with Mel to be nicer but she was unrepentant.

The brunette beauty - who also takes a swipe at Victoria Beckham in the episode when she puts a line of Spice Girls dolls up in her dressing room, but then jokingly removes the fashion designer from the lineup - dished up a number of scathing comments for other wannabes, which leads Gary to ask her why she is being so mean.
However, Tulisa didn't see anything wrong with the singer's no-nonsense approach to judging and believes her comments were only what the majority of people were thinking.
The N-Dubz singer said: 'I can't say anything bad about her. I just thought she was saying what everyone else was thinking. Mel B just keeps it real.'

Guitarist Curtis Golden was also on the receiving end of Mel's sharp tongue when she said: 'I found it all a little bit irritating, the overdoing the comedic personality thing, I found that irritating.'
She swiftly told one group: 'The dance routine was lazy and sloppy and one of you was doing it half-a****.'
Mel B's honest opinions impressed Jonathon Ross and he tweeted: 'An watching #xfactor. Mel B rules!!'
But Stephen Fry questioned the legitimacy of her attitude and said: 'Miss Mel B’s “grumpiness” utterly faked & agreed beforehand one can’t but feel. (PS - I’m watching this under duress) x'.
Elsewhere in the show 17-year-old Sheyi, who is a Nando's worker from Camden, London, promised to sort out all the judges with a meal if he gets through.

He chose to sing Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World, which brought a wide smile to Louis' face but failed to impress with his voice.
Undeterred he sang a second song and was practically laughed off stage as he crooned through Will Young's Leave Right Now.
Gary said in his best Louis Amrstrong voice: 'I thought it was terrible. The problem is the work that needs to be done on your voice is surgical work.'

Tasha Leigh serenaded the judges with Rebecca Ferguson single Nothing's Real But Love and she got four yes's from the panel.
Jahmene Douglas, from Swindon, was nervous before his audition and said he felt he was going to 'wee' himself.
However, his rendition of Etta James' At Last had the crowd applauding and Gary and Nicole nodding in approval.
Scherzinger said: 'I think that you're an amazing vocalist. We need more singers like you. I just wanna take you and eat you up honey.'
Gary added: 'That was off the scale. You completely nailed it today. That is how to do an audition.'

In Cardiff there was Pink, or rather Pink tribute act Zoe Alexander, 22, from Caerphilly, South Wales.
She said to Louis: 'I call myself Zoe Alexander, as Pink. But we want to get rid of the ‘as Pink’, and just want to be Zoe Alexander.'
Zoe, whose mother and father are tribute acts to Shania Twain and Tom Jones, predictably performed So What by Pink.
Louis Walsh said: 'I want to give you a chance because you kind of blew it on that, can you be yourself?'

The former Pussycat Doll said: 'Hi Zoe! I really like your energy up there, I think you have a pretty good voice, I honestly think that you need to go away and find yourself as an artist, who you are.
With all the judges in agreement that she should ‘find herself’ as an artist rather than mimic her idol, she burst into tears and screamed at the panel, claiming they had told her to sing a Pink track.
'I didn’t want to sing a Pink song, I wanted to be me, you guys told me to sing a Pink song', she screamed as she stormed off shouting expletives at the judges.

Backstage, she continued to lash out – and ended up being arrested and cautioned for hitting a producer and pushing cameramen around.
Ella Henderson, 16, completely wowed the judges with her voice being compared to Adele, as she sang a song she wrote herself, and the audience gave her a standing ovation.
A flabbergasted Louis said: 'It's hard to believe you're only 16-years-old.'

Even Mel B was thawed into paying Ella a compliment and she said: 'Whoever, or whatever you wrote that song about those words, I’m sure, hit a chord with everyone.
'Your song writing is so clever. It made me go into my own little world, and go Oh my God – I felt like that at one point, and that’s hard to do as a song writer.
'And when you sang it, you just made me believe every single word, I was right there with you. What we just witnessed was incredible, absolutely incredible.'
