Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh tweets up a storm as she gets Strictly Come Dancing fever!

She’s always seemed like one of the more down-to-earth members of chart-topping girl band Girls Aloud.
And now it looks like the British public will be getting to know Kimberley Walsh a lot better, after it was confirmed that she’ll be participating in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The popular celebrity dance show returns this Saturday night (September 15) and it appears that the 30-year-old singer can barely contain her excitement.

She tweeted yesterday (Saturday): ‘Thanks you so much for you lovely tweets of support already! I will do try my best to do you proud! #scd’
Former Strictly contestant and Judge Alesha Dixon voiced her support for Kimberley via Twitter: ‘You will do amazing babe! And look stunning in all of your dresses! So excited for you! Mwah :) x’
After Kimberley replied with her thanks, Alesha again tweeted: ‘Anytime!!! Call me!!!!!!!! Hahahaha :) xxx’
Alesha later added: ‘you will have so much support! Enjoy every moment! :)x’

Former Hollyoaks actress and theatre star Carley Stenson tweeted Kimberley: ‘So happy for you babe! Knock em dead!!! You'll be amazing x’
While Big Brother presenter Brian Dowling also tweeted: ‘Good luck with it all love,I'll be voting for u!’ (sic)
Kimberley has since tweeted a snap of her wearing a tight red sequin outfit that she may be wearing during the first show this Saturday.
She also posted a picture of herself with professional dancer Anton du Beke – who will presumably partner her in the BBC competition.

Other stars that have been confirmed to be participating in this year’s series include former EastEnders actor Sid Owen, TV and radio presenter Denise Van Outen, and Westlife singer Nicky Byrne.
Both Bruce Forsythe and Tess Daley will return to host the show – with the first programme kicking off this Saturday night at 6.30pm on BBC One.
Returning judges Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood and Len Goodman will be joined by Darcey Bussell who replaces Alesha Dixon.
