Kim Kardashian may be one of the most famous people in the world thanks to her reality show, best selling beauty products and romance to music superstar Kanye West.
And when she makes a public appearance at a club, you would expect queues lined up around the block.
But poor Kim was left embarrassed when less than 50 people turned up to see her at the nightclub Hush in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She had jetted into New York to Charlotte for the event, which is also where the Democratic National Convention was being held.
While that was being attributed to the almost no show, the event was dubbed as the convention after party, so the the club's bosses will have expected a solid turn out.

Kardashian posted a picture of a half glass of champagne on her Twitter page, writing: 'It's that kinda night!'
She finally left after two hours, with one source claiming she was furious after the house band stated that 'this place is empty'.
Se had been in the Big Apple earlier promoting her True Reflection perfume at the Lord & Taylor store as well as attending Fashion's Night Out.
The curvaceous 31-year-old looked rather striking despite the plain black high-neck dress thanks to the efforts of her giant metal belt around her waist.

Kim polished off the gothic look with gelled back hair, tweeting: 'Loving this slicked back hair by Michael Silva.'
She also applied theatrical eyeshadow and liner, crediting the look to her make-up artist: 'Fierce glam tonight by @kristoferbuckle'.
To which he gushed: 'What a pleasure to work on a beauty like @KimKardashian'.
It was a nice surprise to see Kim experimenting with some varied footwear, after being glued to her favourite shoes of the season recently.
This evening she chose ankle cuffed heels, compared to her beloved Givenchy boots she wore earlier today for the third time in recent weeks.

'They love each other': Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé were 'hugging and laughing the whole time' at Jay-Z and Kanye West gig

Earlier this week it was reported that they barely spoke to each other at a music festival last weekend, but apparently things between Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé are just fine and dandy.
In fact, the two ladies are said to 'love each other' and may even be BFF's.
According to TMZ, there was no awkwardness at the Philadelphia event where their men, Jay-Z and Kanye West, performed together.

'They love each other,' a source told the website. 'They talk fashion, family, Beyonce's baby all the time.'
Despite previous stories suggesting that the women watched the performance from opposite sides of the stage, it has now been said that they actually stood together backstage 'laughing and hugging the whole time.'
Another rumour that was squashed was the one about Kim apparently approaching director Ron Howard and asking him to cast her in one of his films.
This was said to have annoyed Beyonce, but according to TMZ Kim didn't utter a word to the movie maker at all.

Rumours of a rift between the two surfaced when a source at the Made In America music festival told the New York Daily News newspaper: 'Kim and Beyonce barely spoke to each other.
'They were on opposite sides of the stage. Beyoncé didn't even acknowledge [Kim] was there until the concert was almost over.
'[Kim] didn't make any efforts to go speak to Beyonce either.'
Sources claimed that Beyonce and Kim aren't close and don't really communicate when they are watching their men perform.
However, they added that when they both went backstage into one of the dressing rooms, they spoke a little to each other but 'uncomfortable' Kim spent the majority of her time with Kanye and her best friend Jonathan Cheban.

The source continued: 'Eventually, the women made small talk in the dressing room, but you could tell Kim was uncomfortable.
She clung onto Kanye the entire time and didn't say much. Kim was talking to Jonathan, and Kanye was talking to Jay-Z and Beyonce.'
Beyonce has been married to Jay-Z for over four years and they have a seven-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, together, while Kim has been with Kanye for around five months.
While Kim is usually the one eager to be in the spotlight, the reality star was hardly pictured at the event.
Meanwhile, Beyonce was spotted in the stands as excitedly cheered on her husband during his show with Kanye.

Kim was not seen partying with Beyonce once.
It was speculated that the pop star is deliberately keeping her distance after her fans criticised her for spending time with the reality star back in June.
Beyonce's fans had earlier been outraged at what seemed to be a budding friendship with Kim, whose fame was sparked by her appearance in a sex tape.
The two had stood together to watch their partners in concert, even dancing together at the front of the stage, which is exactly what they were apparently doing last weekend too.
