Strictly no make-up required! Kimberley Walsh goes for bare-faced chic as Girls Aloud hit the recording studio

She's preparing for the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final this weekend, so is no stranger to a bit of on-stage warpaint.

So when the opportunity arose for Kimberley Walsh to leave the make-up at home and go for a more low-key appearance as she joined Girls Aloud and Mark Ronson at the recording studio on Wednesday night, the pretty star jumped at the chance.

Kimberley appeared to have just slicked on some lip gloss as she arrived at the studios, but was otherwise bare-faced for the recording session.

The 31-year-old singer also went for a casual approach when it came to her outfit choice, opting for an animal-print T-shirt with grey jogging bottoms and UGG boots as she headed inside.

Later in the evening, Kimberley was joined by her Nicola Roberts, who appeared to have taken a leaf out of her bandmate's book and was also in jogging bottoms.

However, Nicola had opted for slightly more make-up than Kimberley, adding to her flawless base with a slick of red lipstick.

Nicola teamed her grey joggers with a long-sleeved grey T-shirt and maroon and yellow adidas trainers, topping her ensemble off with a checked coat to keep herself warm in the chilly London temperatures.

The girls were seen being joined by record producer Mark Ronson, sparking rumours he will be working on the band on upcoming new material.

Girls Aloud delighted fans earlier this year when they confirmed rumours they were reuniting for a new album and tour to celebrate their 10-year anniversary.

And following their recent performance at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball, Cheryl Cole revealed that fans of the show are sure to be thrilled with the tour.

She said: 'It's taken us all this week just to rehearse for the Jingle Bell Ball, so I'm sure there is going to be a lot of rehearsals for the tour as well.

'I'm sure it's going to be spectacular.'

On Thursday morning, Kimberley sported a much more polished look as she and her Strictly partner Pasha Kovalev made an appearance on Daybreak to talk about the competition.
