Doing Strictly and Girls Aloud drove me nuts

KIMBERLEY Walsh has revealed that her hectic schedule is driving her mad.

The sexy singer has to juggle her Strictly training with rehearsals for the Girls Aloud reunion — and now she’s battling to overcome injury for tonight’s semi-final.
But despite her heavy workload, Kimberley wouldn’t change a thing.
She said: “When I signed up, I probably wouldn’t have expected to get so far in Strictly!
“But I knew about the Girls Aloud work when I started, so although it’s been tricky and very busy, I wouldn’t change it for anything.
“I must admit, I’ve had a few moments where I’ve thought I’m losing my mind.
“But I’m not the only one — Dani (Harmer) is rehearsing for panto and everyone has careers besides Strictly.
“It’s just a final push to go now. We can do it!”

Kim suffered a setback after pulling rib muscles during last week’s show-stopping routine — which was awarded perfect marks — and has been unable to practise certain moves with partner Pasha Kovalev.
She said: “It’s been tricky to rehearse because it hurts when Pasha tries to lift me.
“I went to a doctor and I’ve been given painkillers and anti-inflammatory tablets — I feel like my body isn’t coping very well at all!”
This week, Kimberley and Pasha are performing a Charleston to Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines and an American smooth — a mix of waltz, tango and foxtrot — to Peggy Lee’s Fever.
Kimberley said: “Despite the injuries, I’m feeling quite confident because they’re great routines.
“The Charleston is really fun and it’s a great song and the American smooth is obviously completely different, very dramatic, so I’m looking forward to them both.
“Last week’s scores definitely gave me a boost. No matter what happens now, I was really pleased to make those improvements that got us a perfect score. That was a brilliant moment.”

Kimberley has been taking Pasha to all her Girls Aloud rehearsals so they can practise whenever there’s a break.
She said: “He’s really slotted into the Girls Aloud family very easily. They absolutely adore him.
“When they go off for lunch or something, he’s waiting in the wings so we can practise.
“It’s been especially hard this week. I’ve been dancing from 9am to 10pm, whether it be for Strictly or with the girls.”
As well as bandmates Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts, Kimberley has lots more celebrity fans — including Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Dawn French.
Kimberley said: “I met Dawn on the Graham Norton Show and she told me to ‘go home and get some sleep because you’re over-doing it’. She was lovely.”
With the final now just a week away, Kimberley reckons any of her rivals could take the title.
She said: “In terms of dance talent, we’re all pretty close, so it will come down to whoever the audience wants to win.
“They’ll vote for the person they enjoy watching dance, so I couldn’t tell you who that will be. Whatever happens, I’ve had a brilliant time.”
