Little Miss Sunshine child star Abigail Breslin transforms into a leading lady for striking photo shoot

Young starlet Abigail Breslin has turned to Old Hollywood for inspiration for film role and photo shoot with Tyler Shields.
The pictures, taken to promote the celebrity photographer's directorial debut, show the 16-year-old wearing a short blonde wig, false eyelashes and crimson red lipstick.
Shields' forthcoming thriller Final Girl follows a girl, played by Breslin, as she turns the tables on a pack of teenage boys who hunt her as part of an initiation.

Overexposed shots of Breslin showcase her pale skin and piercing blue eyes as she channels a winsome femme fatale.
She gazes off camera in two close-ups and a wide shot shows Breslin styled in a red gown while Shields, dressed in a tuxedo, shoots her on what appears to be a vintage 16mm.
Final Girl will also feature performances from Wes Bentley, Alexander Ludwig, Logan Huffman, Desiree Zurowski and Francesca Eastwood, the 19-year-old actress daughter of Clint Eastwood - who happens to be dating the director.
Shields, who is from Jacksonville, Florida, started out helming music videos before moving into still photography, while continuing to work in moving image.

Since rising to fame with his provocative photoshoots, Shields has become a Hollywood favourite, counting Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Dianna Agron and Demi Lovato among his subjects.
Final Girl is scheduled for release in 2013.
In addition to the thriller, Breslin has another five films set for release next year.
Those include Virgin Mary, Ender's Game, Haunter, The Hive and August: Osage County.
