She's got the curve factor: Leona Lewis showcases her fuller figure as she performs in chic pencil skirt
It’s been a tough start to the year for X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
But while her latest single may not have set the chart alight, she has been making waves with her new look.
Not only has the star recently gone blonde but she revealed a fuller figure as she performed in Germany on Saturday night.
Killer curves: Leona Lewis showed off her fuller figure as she performed in Germany in Saturday evening
Dressed in a tight black dress with lace detail on the arms, Leona showed off a more curvaceous figure than usual as she performed on the show called Wetten Dass.
Her hips were further accentuated by the peplum detail on the skirt and the thin belt around her waist.
The singer coordinated her necklace to the belt creating a stylish and symmetrical look.
Chic: Leona wore a black dress with peplum detail which made her hips look larger than usual
The 27-year-old appeared to go tight-less for the event giving viewers a glimpse of her shapely calves.
Her newly lightened hair had been given a slight curl and it fell loose down her shoulders.
Leona added a splash of colour to her outfit with bright lipstick as she sung her heart out.
Belted: The belt, which matched her necklace, made the singer's hips look larger than they perhaps are
Happy crowd: Despite getting the crowd going her latest single failed to break into the top 200
The star debuted her new look for the first time on Monday when she was spotted out and about in Los Angeles where she unfortunately managed to pick up a parking ticket.
The Bleeding Love singer recently revealed that since she has grown older she has learnt to accept her natural shape.
Talking to Marie Claire she said: ‘I've done every kind of diet. When I was in my late teens I was a size eight (and I'm 5ft 8in) and thought I was fat and mum had to say to me, ''Don't lose any more weight.'
Fancy: Leona's dress featured lace panels which gave her look a more glamorous feel
Diet: Leona recently revealed that she had tried every diet going in the past but she has come to appreciate her figure now
‘Looking at pictures now, I can see I was sickly skinny,’ she admitted.
‘[I have learnt] that it's OK to have imperfections. I feel confident in myself now and I'm looking forward to getting older, to a place where I don't care about what people think.’
Leona’s successful run as a pop star hit the rocks last month when her song Lovebird failed to make it into the top 200 on the charts and her album Glassheart became her first disc not to debut at number one when it was released earlier in the year.
Blonde ambition: Leona showcased new lighter hair earlier in the week as she stepped out in LA
The singer is still managed by Sony and Simon Cowell but has become overshadowed by other former X Factor acts such as One Direction and Little Mix.
A source told the Daily Mirror: 'The single was strong and should have done better but, unfortunately, there was no real marketing force behind it.
'Crucially, it didn't capture the imagination of radio bosses and got little airplay. Most people, unless they have the album, have never heard of the song.'
It is unknown exactly how many copies of Lovebird were sold but the 200th single on the chart sold just 600 copies, meaning that Leona's sold less.
Ticket: Leona found a parking ticket on her car when she returned to it
