Trying to educate her? Bradley Cooper, 38, reads Lolita to Suki Waterhouse, 21, as she sprawls across him in Parisian park

It was published in 1955 by a French pornographic press, and deemed so obscene it was banned in countries including England, South Africa and Argentina.
But despite it's scandalous content today Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita is a fixture of many literature syllabuses and was dubbed one of Time magazine's 100 best 20th Century English-language novels.
So perhaps that explains why Bradley Cooper wanted to share the classic with his much younger girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, 21.

The 38-year-old was seen reading from a well-thumbed copy of the book as he reclined in a Parisian park, Suki sprawled across him.
She listened intently as he read, although at times looked bemused as Bradley brought certain passages to her attention.
After a while the British born star decided to sit on Bradley’s lap and then between his legs as he continued to read.

The controversial book explores the mind of the self-loathing but highly intelligent peopdophile Humbert Humbert, who narrates his life and the obsession with young girls that consumes it.

His lust for one girl in particular, 12-year-old Dolores Haze, leads to him becoming her stepfather, and he abuses her after becoming her legal guardian.
Bradley certainly seemed engrossed in the book, which has been made into two films, ballets, adapted for stage, and even turned into a failed musical.
Dressed in a pair of jeans and a denim shirt Bradley remarkably managed to pull off the double look which he completed with a pair of aviator style sunglasses.
His model girlfriend meanwhile wore a pair of loose fitting dungarees with a baggy white T-shirt and plimsoles.
Wanting to capture their romantic moment in France the Silver Linings actor took out his mobile phone to take a quick snap.
Lifting up his sunglasses he smiled at the camera while Suki put her own sunglasses down and tied her hair up as she pulled her best model pose for the picture.
After a while the couple decided to leave the park and wrapping their arms around each other they set off back to their hotel.
In recent weeks Suki has been spotted covering her face with a variety of different disguises – but she was well rid of them by the time she reunited with Bradley in Paris - putting any rumours of plastic surgery to bed.

One of her friends revealed that the star was keen to cover up her nose as it was swollen and bruised.
‘Suki has been telling friends that it’s broken, but won’t say how it was broken and gets very flusterd when asked,’ says a close friend.
‘She avoided the cameras like the plague last weekend which is odd as she usually doesn’t mind being photographed. 'Of course, everyone’s wondering if she has had a nose job.’
Another source added: ‘There are Instagram photos of her taken on her way to the V Festival and she is hiding her nose in every single one. She even used a teddy bear in one photo.’
Since Bradley and Suki started their long-distance romance in February after meeting at the Elle Style Awards the couple have also enjoyed romantic rendezvous in Boston, New York and Hawaii.
In July, Bradley flew Suki out to visit him in Hawaii where he was filming the latest Cameron Crowe film Deep Tiki.

Their 17 year age gap comes as a surprise after Bradley previously declared he was 'too old' to date his Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jennifer Lawrence, who at 22, is a year older than Suki.
He said earlier this year regarding Jennifer: 'If it didn’t happen by now, it’s not gonna happen. I could literally be her father.'
Prior to Suki, Bradley had a two year on/off romance with Zoe Saldana, and before that Renee Zellweger.
He was briefly married to actress Jennifer Esposito for just four months in 2007.
Speaking about his lovelife, he once said: 'I look for a girl that is fun, a free spirit.
'I'm a romantic, yeah, so she would need to put up with me being a little, you know, goggle-eyed. I can be soppy.'
