Katherine Jenkins has ended her relationship with stockbroker Adam Bidwell after his participation in a charity boxing match ‘put a strain’ on their romance.
The 37-year-old is furiously preparing for the fundraising bout against Richard Branson’s son-in-law Fred Andrews at The Boodles Boxing Ball, a black-tie fundraising event that aims to raise money for the Starlight Foundation when it kicks off on September 21.
But with Adam preparing for the imminent fight, his time in the gym has inadvertently strained his relationship with mezzo-soprano Katherine – prompting her to end their six-month relationship.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Adam has been training really hard for this boxing match and has been really under the cosh at work.’

According to the source it was this commitment that led to Katherine, 33, ending their romance, but the singer is said to be 'moving on' and fully intends to support him when the fight gets underway at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London next month.
‘It was Katherine’s decision but she still loves Adam and will continue to support him as a friend,’ the source added. ‘Despite this she is incredibly sad and feeling pretty raw – splitting up is always painful.’
The Welsh singer started dating Adam – a close friend of Prince Harry – in February, with the pair keeping their relationship under wraps for months before finally going public.

A friend told MailOnline earlier this year: ‘They were introduced through a mutual friend and remained friends for quite a few months before they realised they had lots in common.
‘Adam’s a very nice chap. He’s a good catch. Everybody likes Adam especially because he is successful in his own right and not interested in Katherine’s spotlight.’
Katherine’s relationship with Adam was her first serious commitment since she broke off her engagement to Welsh TV presenter Gethin Jones in December 2011.

Last year she raised eyebrows when she publicly denied having a fling with former footballer David Beckham following a barrage of abuse on Twitter.
Despite ending her relationship with Adam, Katherine recently admitted that she longs to settle down and start a family.
She said: ‘My big dream is children and getting married. For women in my business it is very difficult to decide when to stop.
‘But I can’t wait to be a mum and if – please God – I am, I think it’s a gift and I want to enjoy it.’
