They both have the same taste in men.
And it seems that Rihanna and her ex-Chris Brown's on and off again girlfriend Karrueche Tran also enjoy going to the same nightclub.
The two women, both 25, narrowly missed an awkward encounter when they both went on a night out to Play House in Hollywood on Thursday night.

While it is unknown whether the pair had partied together inside, they both exited the venue separately.
Rihanna had snuck out the back entrance of the popular late night venue, while Karrueche departed with a male pal at the front, alongside other party goers.
It is very unlikely that the pair had exchanged words inside after having both enjoyed romances with R&B singer Chris consecutively.

Karrueche is the last one to have picked up where Rihanna left off and is currently dating the bad boy star.
Chris and Karrueche sparked rumours of an official reconciliation in June when the pair cosied up for a picture together.
The photo showed Chris fondly placing his head on Karrueche's shoulder while she patted his shaved head.

The picture was posted on Instagram by their pal, rapper Kid red, who captured the tender moment and wrote next to the picture: 'No friendship without love.'
Earlier this year, the entertainer dumped Karrueche to be back in the arms of his superstar ex Rihanna.
But they broke up once more as Chris revealed he would be enjoying his birthday without the Diamonds songstress during an Australian radio interview.
He told the Kyle and Jackie O show: ‘I can’t really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young.’

And he seemed to have wasted no time in rekindling his romance with Karrueche following the split.
The model is now even living in his Hollywood Hills home.
During their night out at the club, Rihanna and Karrueche could not have dressed any differently to one another.

Meanwhile, Rihanna clearly out did her in the sexy stakes, revealing plenty of flesh in a sheer panelled body con black dress teamed with very high heels.
She also continued to model her softer hairstyle.
Earlier in the day, the singer stepped out showing off her new short and curly hairstyle, matching her more natural wavy hair.

The star debuted her new hairdo on a shopping trip to a Neil Lane jewellery store in West Hollywood on Thursday, along with posting several photographs of herself on Instagram.
The new shorter style was a marked departure from her recent tour image, where she appeared on stage in a series of dramatic long colourful wigs.
With her hair slicked down with gel, Rihanna's curls were tucked behind her ear, with some loose tendrils escaping, while she showed off her toned flat stomach in a grey crop top and black jeans.

However, the star has admitted she is still getting acquainted with her new style.
'Still tryna get used to my hurr, so I threw on some #redlipstick,' she wrote on her Twitter page on Tuesday.
She also tweeted several other shots of herself showing her new barnet looking impeccable despite revealing she was talking some 'morning pictures.'
One showed her with a backwards baseball cap over her new curls, while another featured her topless with just a diamond necklace and earrings.

Her love of jewellery was made even clearer in another shot which featured the star with an armful of gold and silver bracelets and a glittering necklace.
Currently on a two-month break from her Diamonds world tour, Rihanna was clearly enjoying taking the opportunity to update her image after jetting in from Europe.
She will travel east next month for shows in Macau, Manila and Singapore.
Despite making the most of her temporary break from the tour, Rihanna has ruled out catching up with old flame Chris while she kicks back in Los Angeles.

The on-off couple’s second stab at romance ended earlier this year, but while she’s still fond of Chris pals claim RiRi has no desire to meet up with him any time soon.
‘She’s cool on all his drama,’ a source told HollywoodLife. ‘Nobody has time for that. Life is way too short, and it’s just better to cut the losses now and move on.
‘She’s cool without him. She was Rihanna before him. No shade, but it’s cool. She loves him and wants him to be great.'
