Emmy Rossum opens up on her famous neighbours as she poses for Company

'That David Beckham, he's sooo hot': Emmy Rossum opens up on her famous neighbours as she poses for Company

She's a household name thanks to her role as Fiona Gallagher in hit US show Shameless.
However, even Emmy Rossum admitted to feeling flustered when she came face-to-face with David Beckham.
The singer/actress, 27, lives in the same part of Beverly Hills as the retired footballer, his wife Victoria and their four children - when they're not at their London abode.

The brunette admitted happily letting David cut in front of her while they were driving along the same road near their respective homes.
Speaking to the January 2014 issue of Company magazine, Emmy explained: 'The Beckhams live at the bottom of my road. There are usually 35 paps waiting for her at the bottom of the hill every day. If I drive my car down and she hasn’t come out yet they’ll follow me. Second best!
'[David] pulled up next to me once and asked if he could cut in front of me. He had such a sweet little voice and I was like, "Please!" He’s very good-looking with this delicate voice. I was expecting something hunky and deep. I was expecting Clive Owen’s voice and then out came little David Beckham’s voice.

'I had a moment. I had a car beeping me from behind but I just had to stop and go, "That’s David Beckham, he’s sooo hot."'
Ahead of landing the role of Fiona in Shameless, Emmy's breakout performance was Christine in the 2004 film adaptation of Phantom Of The Opera.

However, she admitted she wasn't quite ready for the fame and attention upon landing the role.
She said: 'The whole thing made me incredibly insecure because I didn’t feel deserving of it at all, and that made me over-compensate because I felt so out of my element. I sort of over-compensated into the "oh yeah, I got this".'
Despite spending years living and working in Hollywood, Emmy is adamant she won't fall into the trap of many of her contemporaries by developing drug problems.
She told the magazine: 'My mum is very old-fashioned about ethics and drugs and alcohol...
'I would say there was a lot of openness in the house - but no drugs, no alcohol. To this day, I’ve never done a hard drug. I’ve never done cocaine, I’ve never done heroin, I’ve never done Ecstasy, which is literally everywhere. It just was never interesting to me.
'The feeling of being out of control or doing anything that could potentially harm me was just not my cup of tea. I would literally rather run down the street naked and I’ve done almost that.'
