When to watch: Round-robin matches from February 10 
Led by Eve Muirhead, this team won the 2013 World Championship for Scotland and have an excellent chance of replicating GB’s gold medal of Salt Lake City 12 years ago.
Chemmy Alcott (Alpine skiing)
When to watch: Wednesday February 12
Alcott, competing at her third Games, has broken 42 bones in her body. She is in the world’s top 30 despite a horrific leg break last August.

Shelley Rudman (Skeleton)
When to watch:  Friday February 14
Rudman won Olympic silver in 2006 in Turin and gold at the World Championships in 2013. She also finished third in this season’s World Cup. 
Elise Christie (Short track speed skating)
When to watch: 1000m on Friday February 21
Christie won the 1000m overall World Cup title in 2012-13 after eight podium finishes and a bronze at the World Championships. Last month she won European 1000m gold.

James Woods (Slopestyle skiing)
When to watch: Thursday February 13 
Slopestyle is a new event where competitors tackle a course with jumps and obstacles, aiming to pull  off the most extravagant tricks. Woods (above) is Team GB’s  top prospect. He won World Championship silver last year and bronze at the 2013 X Games.  
Zoe Gillings (Snowboard cross)
When to watch: Sunday February 16
Snowboard cross, a sport where four competitors race down an incline tackling obstacles, has only been an Olympic sport since 2006. Gillings was third in the boarder-cross World Cup in 2012.

Jenny Jones (Slopestyle snowboarding)
When to watch: Sunday February 9
Making her Olympic debut but Jones has three X Games golds in slopestyle and was sixth at last year’s World Championships.
John Jackson (Four-man bobsleigh)
When to watch: Sunday February 23
The Royal Marines Commando pilots Britain’s GBR1 sled, and led them to European silver last month after finishing second at the World Cup event in Lake Placid in December.
