Sleepy Hollow’s Nicole Beharie and Katia Winter to attend MCM Birmingham Comic Con
The latest special guests to be announced for MCM Birmingham Comic Con are Sleepy Hollow’s Nicole Beharie and Katia Winter.
Heralded by Time magazine as one of the ten best new TV shows of 2013, Fox series Sleepy Hollow sees Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) resurrected in 21st Century New York – once again pitted against his old adversary, the Headless Horseman.
Nicole Beharie plays the show’s co-protagonist Lt. Grace Abigail ‘Abbie’ Mills – a sheriff detective in the small town of Sleepy Hollow, who teams up with Ichabod to prevent the coming apocalypse.
Katia Winter plays Katrina Crane, Ichabod’s wife and a secret witch who cast the spell that binds Ichabod to the Headless Horseman. She appears to Ichabod in a series of visions throughout the series, warning him of future perils.
The success of Sleepy Hollow has seen a second season of the show commissioned, which is set to air later in 2014.
Nicole Beharie’s credits also include Steve McQueen’s film Shame and she recently starred in 42, Brian Helgeland’s film about baseball legend Jackie Robinson. Katia Winter is also best known for her recurring role as Nadia in Dexter, and will appear in Terrence Malick’s upcoming film, Knight Of Cups.
