THE NINES: GUGU MBATHA-RAW - DAHHAH.COM

THE NINES: GUGU MBATHA-RAW

So, I'm having this conversation with Jay Floyd and I'm like "Dude you gotta get hip to this chick on the show Undercovers!". He's like "What's her name?". Im like "Iono!". So he comes through the crib one day and I hit him with a couple DVR still-frames of ol' girl, who I learned is named Gugu (short for Gugulethu, which essentially is like "Speed": short for "Yo homie, I need an oil change"... just doesn't clear things up at all). Jay says "Yo, you need to do a Nines on her". So here we are. Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw is, by my count, the second British artist we've featured here on Dahhah.com in the Nines section. So in terms of average, it looks like England is killin it with pretty people. She was born in Oxford, England and raised in a town called Witney. The multi-talented actress is also skilled at the Saxophone and reportedly has a great singing voice. It certainly doesn't hurt that she has the bumper most chicks wants for Christmas.

Born from a South African father and English mother, she was doing stage plays by age 11 at the Oxford Playhouse. After making a name for herself as an actress in England, her American break has come in the form of an CIA spy, opposite Boris Kodjoe in Undercovers. Since I hear that the show is getting canned after December 2010, now is as good a time as ever to feature this beauty. But don't worry, 5 a get you 10 that we'll be seeing more of her in the States. Roll em!!
