Louis Walsh loses TWO acts as Blonde Electra and Overload Generation are sent home on The X Factor's first elimination night

Double blow: Louis Walsh loses TWO acts as Blonde Electra and Overload Generation are sent home on The X Factor's first elimination night

It appears that Louis Walsh's dream of finally having a winning act on The X Factor may be slipping through his fingers once again.
The Irishman saw two of his acts - Blonde Electra and Overload Generation - leave the ITV show, after a tough first elimination night on Sunday.
Sister act Blonde Electra were the first act to learn that they were departing the show, as it was announced by host Dermot O'Leary that they'd received the least votes.

Looking disappointed, Jazzy and Ruby hugged the members of Overload Generation before heading centre-stage to speak with Dermot, who repeatedly told them he was 'so sorry' about their elimination.
'It's OK. We're still going to keep doing it,' said the sisters. 'We're going to keep trying... We just wanna thank everybody for giving us this opportunity. We've had the bext time ever.'
As they exited the stage, it was left for Overload Generation and Stephanie Nala to battle it out in a sing-off.

Overload Generation went first, performing Christina Perri's A Thousand Years, followed by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's performer Stephanie Nala, who nervously sang her way through Brandy's Have You Ever?.
After their performances, Simon Cowell said: 'Neither of you had a good night last night. Boys.. that performance was shockingly bad.
'Stephanie you were good at the beginning and then kind of went off-key at the end. I cannot support an act i have no belief in at all, so I'm going to send Home Overload.'

With Cheryl opting to send Overload home, and Mel B opting to boot out Stephanie, it was down to Louis to make the deciding vote, predictably choosing to save his act.
His decision sent the competition into deadlock, which meant that the public vote came into play after the judges failed to reach a majority verdict.
As the group made their exit, they told the cheering audience: 'Obviously, we're gutted. But we just want to say thank you so much for all the support.'
Added a visibly upset Louis: 'I want them to stay together and become a big band.'
