Invasion of the Brits! Sienna Miller, Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne lead the way as UK stars take over Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue
With the women in classic red and gold gowns and the men in sharp white-tie evening dress, these famous faces ooze old school Hollywood glamour.
But a closer inspection of this striking portrait reveals a British invasion of American film and television, for half of those photographed for the coveted March edition of Vanity Fair magazine are UK stars.
Over the last year Brits have dominated American box offices, television, and award ceremonies.

The image of this year's most celebrated actors and actresses was shot by acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz for the magazine's 21st Hollywood Issue.
It shows top British actors including Eddie Redmayne, 33, Oscar nominated for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, his co-star Felicity Jones, 31, and Imitation Game star Benedict Cumberbatch, 38.
Other celebrated Brits include Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo, 38, who played Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, and American Sniper star Sienna Miller, 33.
Fashion icon Sienna looks incredibly in a 1970s-inspired gold jumpsuit, with her blonde bob coiffed to perfection in delicate waves.
And Felicity, who is proving herself to be a huge hit on the awards season red carpets this year, works the ultimate in old-school Hollywood glamour in an off-the-shoulder deep red satin gown, her brunette tresses messily styled flawlessly.

The handsome men are all attired in smart white tie, each of them looking as dapper as the next as they pose for the iconic magazine cover.
Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter said in the issue's letter: 'We would have needed two issues to fully capture the breadth and strength of the British invasion.
'These are the people who invented the English language after all, and at no time does it come so alive as when they are speaking it. They certainly do better American accents than U.S. actors do British ones.'
The stars are joined by their US acting peers Reese Witherspoon, 38, best actress nominated for Wild, Amy Adams, 40, who won a Golden Globe for Tim Burton's Big Eyes and Channing Tatum, 34, who stars in five-times Oscar nominated film Foxcatcher.
Other American rivals include Oscar Isaac, 35, of A Most Violent Year, and Whiplash star Miles Teller, 27.
Photographer Annie Leibovitz has photographed all but three of the Hollywood Issue covers since the first issue in 1995. She said this shoot had a 'hair-raising' intimacy.
'Usually you shoot from fairly far away, but we wanted to get really close to the actors. We made an effort to create a feeling of intimacy. I pushed into them, shooting to the left and then the right, coming in as tight as I could,' she explained.
The full issue is available February 5 in both a digital edition and on national newsstands.

The stunning magazine also features the likes of Eddie's good friend and awards season rival Benedict, who is also hoping for his first Oscar for his portrayal of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, which tells the story of the breaking of Nazi Germany's Enigma Code.
Following the reveal of the Oscar nominations in mid-January, the handsome actor said: 'I am knocked for six by this. So excited and honoured to receive this recognition. It's wonderful to be included by the academy in this exceptional year of performances.
'To ring my parents who are both actors and tell them that their only son has been nominated for an Oscar is one of the proudest moments of my life.'
Also making a substantial mark on Hollywood this season is Felicity Jones, Eddie's illustrious co-star. Thanks to her dazzling portrayal of Stephen Hawking's wife Jane Wilde Hawking in the biographical movie about the iconic physicist's life.
And, although she oozes self-confidence and old-school glamour in the Vanity Fair shoot, she has revealed herself to be utterly overwhelmed and honoured by her Oscar nomination: she's up for Best Actress against Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, fellow Brit hopeful Rosamund Pike - who seriously impressed in David Fincher's Gone Girl - and Marion Cotillard.

Upon hearing of her nomination, the actress was filled with joy and also selflessness, as she vowed to share the moment with the woman she portrays on the big screen.
'It's really exciting to be nominated with this group of British actors,' she gushed, before adding that she spent the morning after hearing the news sitting on her bed in an hotel room.
'I'm sitting in my pyjamas calling family and friends. I've spoken to my mother, my father and my brother,' she revealed at the time.
The kind star also revealed to BBC Radio 5 Live that she will be sharing her nomination with Jane Wilde Hawking: 'It was such a phenomenal story... [Stephen and Jane] really graciously let us into their lives so it was a very special story to be telling,' she explained.
'I got to know Jane so well that I had such affection for her. I feel like I'm absolutely sharing this nomination with her.'
The cover of Vanity Fair's annual issue also features the esteemed likes of actors David Oyelowo and Sienna Miller and, while neither of them received an Oscar Award, they are both making waves on the big screen this awards season.
David currently stars as Martin Luther King, Jr in Selma, which has been nominated in the toughest category of all, Best Picture, and has seriously impressed audiences and critics alike with his realistic portrayal of the leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement.
And Sienna has made her big comeback on the silver screen in Oscar-nominated American Sniper, in which she stars alongside leading man Bradley Cooper as his struggling wife.
