She's best known for her roles as a hit-girl and a telekinetic outsider.

But Chloe Moretz looked a far cry from her most famous characters on Tuesday night as she embraced her girlie side in a pink and white gingham dress.

Stealing the limelight at Nylon's Young Hollywood party at in LA, the 16-year-old looked saccharine sweet in the high-necked dress as she posed for pictures.

The rising star, who has already become one of tinsletown's most sought after, proved that she's certainly still a teenager despite her grown-up roles.

Seeming in great spirits, the Carrie star put her hand on her hip as she grinned on the red carpet, ditching the more edgy look that she's become known for.

She matched the short baby dress with similarly sugary-coloured make-up, opting for light pink ligloss and a sweep of powder.

The actress found time in her busy schedule to fit in a night of partying, in between photo shoots and filming for her various film projects including.

But there is clearly no rivalry between Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, who affectionately posed together at a pre-Grammy bash honoring L.A. Reid on Saturday.

And just as the singing duo have strayed from their country roots, the two pop stars' looks at the Beverly Hilton bash could not have been more different.

'I was just a jerk,' the Born and Raised singer admitted in a sit-down interview with CBS Sunday Morning airing February 10.

Also at Clive Davis & The Recording Academy's Saturday soiree was American Idol's Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest, rapper Wiz Khalifa, and singer Ashanti who all took turns posing with a tongue-happy Cyrus. 

Also performing at the star-studded event were singers Miguel and Sting, who had the audience yelling and hollering in excitement when he took the stage.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards - airing live this Sunday on CBS - will feature performances from Elton John, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Sting, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and Kelly Clarkson.

It will also reportedly be the first red carpet appearance of on/off couple Rihanna and Chris Brown since he brutally attacked the Barbadian pop star after the 2009 Grammys.
