It's not often a viscountess is seen sprawled across the stairs of her stately home with her ballgown hitched up to show off her shapely legs.

But tiara-wearing Lady Weymouth was happy to pose for this picture at the weekend at her husband Ceawlin's family seat, Longleat House, in Wiltshire, where she celebrated her 30th birthday with a louche 'Elizabethan disco'.

Next to her on the 19th century gothic staircase lined with white candles is artist Daniel Lismore, who was once called 'the most outrageous dresser in London'.

The eclectic guest list included American rapper Eve to Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer, who wore a cleavage-enhancing Tudor dress.

Her property tycoon beau, Niccolo Barattieri, also wore traditional Elizabethan attire.

I wonder what Lady Kitty's father, Earl Spencer, makes of her bit of ruff?

Lady Weymouth's birthday celebrations come almost two years after she married Ceawlin Thynn, 40, Viscount Weymouth, the heir to the Longleat estate, in a lavish ceremony.

The couple married in June 2013 but the wedding was marred by the fact that the Viscount's parents - the Lord and Lady Bath - did not attend.

At the time they were not on speaking terms with the couple.

It is thought that the family fallout had come about due to the removal of some ancient murals which had adorned the walls of the famous Longleat estate.

Lady Weymouth said at the time: 'It's very sad he didn't come to the wedding and that the misunderstanding has escalated to this point, but what can I do?'

The family also appeared to suffer another bone of contention when Lady Weymouth, formerly known as Emma McQuiston, spoke of racism in the aristocratic circles in which she now mingles.

She will one day become Britain's first black marchioness but previously revealed how Ceawlin's mother, Hungarian-born and French-raised Anna Gael, apparently described her son's marriage to Emma as a disruption to '400 years' of English 'bloodline'.

At around the same time as the revelation, Lady Weymouth told Tatler magazine: 'There has been some snobbishness, particularly among the much older generation.

'There's class and then there's the racial thing.'

However, the family are now on good terms and are enjoying spending time with the Viscount and Viscountess' first child - The Hon. John Thynn – who they welcomed last October.

And Emma couldn't be happier splitting her time between London and the Longleat estate – which is the only drive-through safari park outside of Africa and open to the public all year round.

'Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be living in a safari park! It's a bit Disney, [but] I feel so lucky and happy to be where I am, I need to pinch myself,' she once said.

She kicked off her birthday celebrations by posting a sassy shot on Instagram – and it was an equally upfront Rita Ora who attended her 70s themed party on Tuesday evening.

The hit-maker turned 23 on November 26 and she was keen to finish her big day in style with a star-studded party at central London night club The Box.

With a retro theme and a guest list that included Kelly Brook, rapper Eve and current beau Calvin Harris it was never going to be a low-key affair – and so it proved when Rita arrived in a plunging cherry red ensemble.

But while the outfit turned heads, it did so for all the wrong reasons as she inadvertently flashed her white nickers after climbing out of her cab.

Indeed, the singer was quite a sight as she exited the black cab with stylist pal Kyle De'Volle, her outfit’s generous hood loosely hanging over her bouffant hair.

Its deep neckline afforded waiting photographers a view of her ample cleavage, while the large thigh-length slash gave her the opportunity to show off her toned legs.

Flanked by security guards, Rita quickly sashayed across the pavement in one of her birthday presents – the stylish Christian Louboutin heels she’d proudly showed off on Instagram earlier that day.

The 70’s theme wasn’t lost on her pals that evening, with many arriving in a range of platform shoes, loon pants and comedy pimp suits.

Indeed, actress Sarah-Jane Crawford in particular won points for her colourful mini-dress and white platform boots – but the memo appeared to be lost on Eve and Kelly Brook, who both arrived in sophisticated black outfits.

Calvin Harris was another guest to eschew the theme, but he atoned by calling into a local 24-hour garage and splashing out on cakes for the photographers gathered outside on the pavement.

The Scottish DJ would party with Rita - who he started dating earlier this year - until 4:30 in the morning before the bleary looking pair made their way home in the back of a cab.

Writing on Twitter shortly before her party got underway, the singer revealed that all proceeds from the bash would be donated to a cancer charity.

‘I’m using my bday to raise money for @royalmarsden! Give a gift and donate to help cancer patients here,’ she wrote alongside a link to justgiving.com.

On Tuesday morning Rita shared a picture in whi she appears with a large black cushion protecting her modesty as she throws a sultry gaze at the camera.

In a caption that mirrors the words emblazoned across it she writes: ‘Birthday girl!! today I'm allowed to be A F***ING STAR! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and I love you!!!! (sic).’

Other guests to attend her party on Tuesday evening included Jaime Winstone and Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephens.

For the most part, a picture tells a thousand words.

But Eve managed to buck that trend when she posed for photographs wearing a bizarre two piece to the Graduate Fashion Week launch that left onlookers speechless.

The American rapper, 34, arrived at London's Earl's Court 2 in a patent leather breastplate and skirt that looked like an origami lantern made from leather.

The outfit looked like it could have been designed with a Game Of Thrones convention in mind.

Eve showed off her toned midriff in the cropped bodice and high-waisted skirt, but it looked like it may be a cumbersome outfit to sit down in.

The sides of the knee length skirt featured twisted leather and buckles, and a thick panel along the hem restricted her movement.

Eve wore shoes in the same nude tone as her skirt, and also decided to coordinate her hands to her outfit with the addition of some cuffs.

To the eye of the non-fashionista, however, the cuffs looked like something you might wear as a support should you have repetitive strain injury from excessive typing.

It is safe to assume that Eve doesn't have a clerical side job that requires her to use a keyboard for more than eight hours a day, and that she was wearing the odd flesh coloured bracelets as jewellery.

Thankfully Eve kept her hair and make-up simple, but did take the time to match her toenails to the pink colour that featured heavily in her outfit.

Also at the event were Henry Holland and Zara Martin, the TV presenter-slash-model who was linked to Russell Brand in March.

They looked smart and bland compared to outlandish Eve, quite a feat as both brunette Zara's dress and designer Henry's shirt were incredibly loud.

The red shirt featured a black and white gun motif, and Zara's frock featured a lime green crosshatching pattern.

Lady Victoria Hervey, 36, made a welcome return to the London social scene when she was seen posing next to a pink structure.

Wearing a slinky little black dress and sandals, she looked tanned and happy, and positively underdressed compared to Eve, Henry and Zara.

The famous faces were there to mingle with fashion graduates and their tutors, as well as lend their expert eye for judging and speaking to the audience of fashion and textiles graduates.

There was a chance to watch selected graduate collections on the catwalk, plus see winners of gala awards receive their prizes.
