She spent several weeks and countless late nights in the studio working on her latest album, so Rihanna was in need of a holiday.

And the 27-year-old looked like she was very relaxed when she shared a photo from her native Barbados with best friend Melissa Forde on Sunday.

Just to make it all the better, the pair were clothed in eye-catching barely there bikinis that showcased their knockout figures.

She scrubs up well: Rihanna posted a picture of herself relaxing in Barbados with her best friend a day after she got covered i mud and body paint at a street festival

The erudite performer captioned the image with a colourful dash of patois, writing: 'Daz my be$$.fren.'

The Umbrella star and her sidekick seemed to be having a great time in the image, as they were both grinning like cats who had gotten the cream.

It comes after the Caribbean cutie was snapped at the Foreday morning jam on Saturday, a night-time street party featuring a parade where everyone gets covered in mud and body paint in the streets.

It is one of the many crop over events of the season as they celebrate the harvest with singing, dancing and competitions.

Should have brought her Umbrella: The star got covered in mud and paint at a street festival the previous day

Rihanna grew up in the city of Bridgetown, Barbados before signing her six-album record deal with Def Jam in February 2005.

And it seems she loves promoting the island if her Instagram account is any guide.

Earlier this week she posted a saucy photograph where she was dripping with gold while relaxing in a barely-there bikini top on a sunlounger in her homeland.

While she teasingly captioned the image simply, 'errthang,' the Charlie by Matthew Zink official Instagram page revealed she was wearing one of the firm's yellow grecian coin bikinis as she enjoyed the charming locales of her native island.

Rihanna is currently rumoured to be dating 30-year-old Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton.

Only she could turn a designer scarf into a makeshift bra top, and still look good.

On Sunday, Rihanna shared a sexy selfie of herself poolside, revealing ample underboob and wearing only a Hermes kerchief.

The 27-year-old songstress and BFF Melissa Forde laid out under the sun after celebrating the Fourth of July with pals at a house party near Los Angeles.

The Barbadian beauty showcased her Goddess Isis chest tattoo as she gave a seductive smolder to the camera.

'Bra by @Hermes #pooltime,' she captioned the Instagram photo along with a winky-face emoticon referring to her MacGyver-esque bikini making skills.

Perhaps to avoid tanlines, RiRi wrapped her cleavage with the French label's patterned fabric.

She further drew attention to her bust by accessorizing with a gold body chain and metallic nameplate necklace.

The B***h Better Have My Money hitmaker added a bit of glamour to her look with a bold red lip and matching manicure.

One day prior, BFF Melissa posted a cleavage-baring photo of the pals in their Independence Day-themed swim wear.

Rihanna looked seductive in a plunging navy monokini with draping white cover-up as she lounged on an orange sofa with her flaming tresses flowing around her shoulders.

Taking the selfie was Melissa, who color coordinated with her bestie in a dark blue two-piece.

Rihanna strips down to her bra and underwear for a sultry snap alongside a stuffed tiger

Wild thing! Rihanna strips down to her bra and underwear for a sultry snap alongside a stuffed tiger

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Rihanna loves exposing her wild side.

And on Friday, that meant sharing two sultry snaps with a stuffed tiger.

Open to interpretation, the Instagram snaps had no caption, but there was plenty to be said about the barely-clothed singer as she posed alongside the fierce creature.

Wild side: Rihanna shared a sultry snap alongside a tiger on Friday

The pictures show the 25-year-old singer stripped down to a strapless bra and high-waisted underwear.

Her dark locks are flowing down in curls as her lips are accentuated with a slick of deep red.

Earlier this week, the Barbadian beauty was given yet another opportunity to show her saucy side.

Variety: Another post showed the barely-clothed star from another angle as she leaned against the vicious creature

During a working holiday in Brazil, Rihanna was seen puffing away on a cigarillo and wrapping her arm around fellow bikini-clad BFF Melissa Ford.

The striking pair were hard to ignore, with Rihanna posing in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikini as she enjoyed yet another lazy day.

Her friend meanwhile wore an almost identical two piece as they hammed it up for the camera.

But the cheeky pair had saved arguably their most impressive trick for last, playfully whipping off their tops while posing with their back to the photographer.

Smokin': Rihanna looked in fine figure as she puffed on a cigarillo with Melissa Ford in Brazil on Wednesday

Having a good suck: She was inhaling so hard the ash lit up as she enjoyed another hit of tobacco

Thar she blows: And she seemed to have almost as much fun exhaling the smoke as she did inhaling

Rude girl takes it off: Rihanna paraphrased her hit as she posed topless with her back to the camera

Rihanna had been peppering her Instagram account on Tuesday with a series of similarly smouldering shots from her latest photoshoot - and her latest, taken while she straddles a surfboard off Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro, is perhaps her raunchiest yet.

She was snapped striking another sultry pose as darkness fell over the picturesque Brazilian hotspot.

With a rather dubious looking hand-rolled cigarette perched between her lips, the songstress appears to be gently paddling the board towards shore.

Raunchy: Rihanna shows off her curves in the latest shot to feature on her Instagram account. The singer is seen puffing on a dubious looking cigarette while paddling towards shore

Working the camera: The Bajan beauty flashed a kilowatt smile as she straddled her surfboard

The Rude Boy favourite showed off her curves in a gold bikini, her back arched and shapely rump exposed as she navigates the water.

The shot is one of three paddle-board shots to feature on her Instagram page during a day long shoot.

Rihanna had previously flaunted her curves in the same tiny gold bikini in a series of shots taken aboard a nearby yacht.

Making a splash: The singer features in the second of three 'paddle-boarding' shots on Tuesday

Looking good: Rihanna smoulders in another shot, taken during her latest shoot in Brazil

The Bajan singer is notorious for posting revealing photos of herself from various photo shoots, and Tuesday was no exception.

Rihanna, who seems more comfortable wearing a bikini than clothes, looked in her element while posing on yacht.

Letting the photo speak for itself, she chose not to caption the photograph which sees her with one leg outstretched, her arms holding onto a metal railing while giving a seductive stare into the camera lens.

Flaunting it: Rihanna flaunts her inch-perfect beach physique as she poses topless in Brazil

With her array of tattoos on display, Rihanna oozed confidence in the shots, set against the choppy blue South Atlantic Ocean.

The star wore her cascading raven locks in beach waves, which delicately framed her face, while showing off her enviable bronzed and toned physique.

Her photos are all to feature in the latest edition Vogue Brazil, and the photo shoot has taken place over a week to make sure that there is an interesting mix of locations and outfits.

Postcard perfection: Rihanna's recent Instagram photo is postcard perfection as she gives a seductive look to the camera

Cheeky: Rihanna could not help but show off her pert bottom from another day of shooting earlier in the week

The star had already posed topless last week, when she began the modelling set, and posed for a photographer on the Brazilian Island of Angra dos Reis.

Just small strips of tape obscured the singer's nipples as she stood posing on the sand in the shots, but her photos will not appear out of place on the shelves in Brazil as this month's issue features a fully-nude Victoria's Secret Model Candice Swanpoel.

Rihanna is currently busy promoting her new single Can't Remember To Forget You, which she recorded with Shakira.

Seductive: Even when she's wearing a bikini Rihanna manages to look seductive in every frame

Rihanna strips down to her black bra to twerk for the cameras... just before chopping off her long locks into a surprisingly conservative bob

By RACHEL LEVY

PUBLISHED: 21:23, 18 November 2013 | UPDATED: 00:30, 19 November 2013

Rihanna stripped down to her skimpy black bra on Friday to twerk for the cameras to T-Pain's Up Down (Do This All Day) while backstage in New Orleans on Friday.

It was the last stop on her grueling eight-month-long Diamonds tour so the session could have been a much-deserved victory dance.

On Sunday the 25-year-old made jaws drop even more when she exited New York City's SL Lounge in a legless catsuit, over-the-knee boots and a bob haircut that's her most conservative 'do in years.

Transformed! On Sunday, Rihanna revealed her updated short locks as she headed out of a club in Manhattan

On Friday the Only Girl singer felt no need to wear shoes, grooving barefoot in an ensemble that certainly coordinated with the jam's lyrics of 'shorty got the black bra showing.'

But she did add a touch of glamor by styling her long locks into waves, sporting a gothic pout, and dashing on some metallic jewellery.

Meanwhile, her best friend Melissa Forde - who was promoting Rihanna's For Fiver Island collection of clothing by wearing one of the line's black dresses that had 'RIRI' printed on the back - twerked alongside the svelte star.

Who needs clothes? The singer stripped down to her black bra and trousers

Melissa posted three twerking videos, starting with '#theprep' and ending with the '#lastshowwww' with her '#wolfpac.'

Rihanna has relocated to the Big Apple following a spate of incidents at her sprawling Los Angeles mansion.

According to TMZ, she's renting the spacious SoHo apartment for a whopping $39,000 a month, while her California home is being occupied out by wealthy tenants for a reported monthly sum of $65,000.

The move east came after an alleged stalker made repeated attempts to break into the property, eventually throwing a chair against a patio door in a bid to get inside.

The man in question, Jonathan Whooper, was taken into custody on October 4.

Before the chop off: This was the last of Rihanna's long locks before showing her updated 'do on Sunday

Just following the lyrics... The girls twerked to T-Pain's song Up Down (Do This All Day), which mentioned 'the black bra showing'

Really into it... Rihanna didn't show off any dance moves other thank her twerking

Rihanna swaps trendy street wear for shapeless silver dress and stockings as she steps out at Fashion Week runway show

From flattering to frumpy: Rihanna swaps trendy street wear for shapeless silver dress and stockings as she steps out at Fashion Week runway show

By SOPHIA CHARALAMBOUS and ELEANOR GOWER

PUBLISHED: 05:39, 9 September 2013 | UPDATED: 16:18, 9 September 2013

She usually impresses in her choice of casual but uber trendy streetwear.

And Sunday morning was no different for Rihanna who stepped out looking stylish in New York in a letterman jacket, denim shorts, trainers and sunglasses.

Unfortunately, her efforts to glam up later didn't go quite as well.

Fashion fail: Rihanna's look for the Opening Ceremony show wasn't quite up to her usual standards as she wore a frumpy tea dress with clumpy 'creeper' shoes in New York on Sunday

Mad makeover: Rihanna looked trendy in her letterman jacket and cropped denim shorts earlier in New York on Sunday before looking a little frumpy at the Opening Ceremony fashion show

Flashing the flesh: Rihanna's ensemble seemed less demure when she sat down, showing off the tops of her stockings

The star stepped out in a rather ill-fitting silver dress, unwisely teamed with clumpy black shoes and spotted black stockings.

An oversized black choker, and her new 'mullet-style' hairpiece completed the look as she arrived at the New York Fashion Week show for the Opening Ceremony clothing brand.

The 25-year-old star's outfit looked a little less demure when she took her seat in the front row, with her dress riding up to reveal the tops of her stockings.

Hair today, gone tomorrow: Rihanna teamed her strange ensemble with crimson lipstick and an odd mullet-style hair extension

Hi ho silver lining: Rihanna's silver knee length dress was teamed with a black choker, spotted tights and clumpy shoes

Taking her seat: Rihanna waits for the action to begin in the front row at SuperPier 25

Bosom buddies: Rihanna and her friend Melissa Forde are inseparable, they do everything together and often wear the same clothes

Rihanna joined the likes of Justin Bieber, Miguel and Rashida Jones to see the collection, alongside her friend Melissa Forde.

Rashida looked pretty in a sleeveless black  and pink patterned top teamed with a green, black and white patterned skirt, pink high heels and matching lipstick.

Bieber, meanwhile, stuck to his tried and trusted casual style in a white T-shirt, gold chunky necklace and backwards baseball cap.

Taking a front seat: Rihanna joined  Melissa Forde and Miguel to check out the uber cool Opening Ceremony collection

Blinding light: Justin must have been bothered by the indoor lighting as he kept his sunglasses on throughout the show

Keeping it cool: Justin Bieber wore sunglasses and his trademark backwards baseball cap as he posed alongside Opening Ceremony's designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim

The pint-sized star rubbed shoulders with Opening Ceremony's design team Humberto Leon and Carol Lim after the show, which saw models stroll down a 'road' catwalk among carefully placed cars.

Miguel, meanwhile, opted for a more daring ensemble, sporting a white short with a heart pattern and what appeared to be denim shorts worn over trousers and boots.

Street smarts: Rihanna showed off her toned legs in the short denim shorts during a shopping trip in Manhattan earlier that day

Shop til I drop: The Umbrella singer carried a gold bag of goodies, while her assistant joined her also toting a shopping bag

This was the second fashion-related event Rihanna has attended in so many days.

On Saturday night, she arrived at Alexander Wang's after-party, showing off her new mullet hairdo in a self-proclaimed 'goth-ghetto' look.

Her appearance sent the rumour mill into overdrive after she was led directly to rumoured new beau rappy A$AP Rocky, who was hanging out in the VIP section behind the stage with his entourage.

A source told the New York Post: 'Rihanna went right to him. They were talking really close. Bodyguards were stationed all around them so that no one could get pictures.'

Clashing patterns: Rashida Jones looked pretty in a sleeveless black top and floral skirt

According to further unconfirmed reports, Rihanna was spotted leaving A$AP Rocky’s hotel in Chelsea on Thursday morning.

Rocky has reportedly been dating model Chanel Iman, who walked in the Cushnie et Ochs show at Fashion Week.

The star may have had more of a vested interest in this year's fashion week as, for the first time, Adam Selman, Rihanna's costume designer debuted his first ready-to-wear label on Thursday night.

Star studded: Rashida seemed to be looking forward to the runway show while actor Jason Schwartzman wore  a striped shirt and suit jacket

Channelling Rihanna: Model Leigh Lezark wore a risqué sheer ensemble with her modesty just protected by embroidery

And Rihanna is not going to be in the city for long, so is sure to make the most of her time in The Big Apple.

The Battleship actress is next scheduled to take her Diamonds World Tour to the Cotai Arena in Macau, China on September 13.

Rihanna also just reached four billion views on YouTube, making her the most viewed artist ever.

Closing ceremony: The models strolled in between carefully placed cars on a 'road' style catwalk

Uber cool: The Opening Ceremony show attracted a smattering of celebrities including Justin Bieber

Fast cars: Luxury cars formed part of the dramatic stage show at the Opening Ceremony fashion show
