Selena Gomez put on a brave face at the InStyle Awards on Monday, but later admitted it had been 'hard to go out'.

The 23-year-old lost her friend and make-up artist Jake Bailey three days ago, after he was found slumped over the wheel of his SUV in an apparent suicide.

Selena is yet to comment publicly on the tragic death, but hinted at her sorrow on Instagram after the event, writing: 'It was kinda hard to go out tonight but I would do anything for @kystyle -she deserves the award of the night at #InStyleAwards she makes us ladies feel beautiful always x.'

Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed that Bailey was found dead at 8.25am on Friday and appeared to have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning in an apparent suicide.

The 37-year-old worked with many stars, including Katy Perry, and the pop star was one of several celebrities who paid tribute to him on social media.

Selena however chose to grieve in silence after hearing the devastating news.

Although Monday had clearly been a difficult evening for the singer, she managed to be cheerful on the red carpet as she posed with pal Michelle Williams.

Selena was dressed to impress, leaving her flat, toned stomach on show in a black mesh top with short sleeves and tasselled trim, also revealing her matching bra underneath.

The starlet paired the daring top with a white puffball mini-skirt (both by Louis Vuitton), highlighting her long and slender legs.

Leaving little to the imagination: Selena's mesh top showcased her flat stomach and her black bra

Selena also sported black open-back ankle boots with high heels, and wore her long dark locks in a sultry bedhead style.

The Good For You hit-maker finished off her head-turning look with smoky eye make-up, rosy cheeks and pale pink lips.

Selena, who took the stage during the star-studded evening, posed with actress pal Michelle and planted a kiss on her cheek.

The 35-year-old was clad in a striking black leather dress with silver detailing, along with matching boots.

Selena also shared a cuddle on the red carpet with Fifty Shades Of Grey actress Dakota Johnson.

The 26-year-old picked a slick black pantsuit which left a hint of her lacy bra on show.

Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson were among the other famous names on the guest list.

Selena is currently promoting her new album Revival, which was released on October 9.

She has also been drumming up publicity for her latest single Same Old Love - rumoured to be about her ex Justin Bieber.

The former Disney star is set to perform at the American Music Awards next month, and the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show shortly after that.

Selena recently revealed that she underwent chemotherapy for lupus, a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when the body's immune system attacks its own tissues and organs.

'That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke,' Selena told Billboard of her time spent out of the spotlight after cancelling the Australian and Asian leg of her tour in December 2013.

'I wanted so badly to say, "You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re a**holes",' she added. 'I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again.'

And Olivia Culpo's steamy new photoshoot will surely make the hitmaker Jealous.

The 23-year-old model bared it all in an interview and racy photoshoot for the most recent issue of Treats! magazine.

The former Miss Universe 2012 was not the only one that dared to bare as she got rather cosy with male model Adam Nicklas in the shoot done by legendary photographer Tony Duran.

Olivia went completely nude as she cuddled up with the usually fully-clothed hunk for the highly-suggestive pictorial.

The former pageant queen wore her raven locks wet while slicked back as she had natural, complimentary make-up on her face featuring splashes of colour in the form of pink eyeshadow and lip.

Interesting dynamic: The male model was fully clothed in most of the shoot while Olivia bared it all

She only sported some clothing two of the shots including one of her half-wearing a patterned robe.

In another two other shots, she rocks a bright fuschia blazer featuring a black lapel along with black underwear.

As this was her first nude photoshoot, she discussed what the experience was like as she explained: 'When I looked at Tony's work before the shoot, especially with nudes, what I saw was the beauty and sensuality.

'The images we produced that afternoon felt like paintings to me. The colors..the lighting..it all felt very timeless. I am not looking at nude bodies, but more the composition and quality of the image.'

She went on to elaborate that the decision to pose naked came through trust she had with the photographer and the art that would come as a result from the collaboration as she said: 'I have never done a nude shoot before. I had been asked, but honestly I did not feel comfortable because I was fearful of how it would be perceived.

'Once I realized this was an opportunity to express myself in a way I hadn't before, in such an organic and candid sense, the experience became more about art and emotion than me as a physical being.

'That completely changed my outlook. So many people today strive for perfection, covering up who they really are in any way they can. I have been guilty of this too, but for this shoot I couldn't hide. This was as real and raw as it gets.'

In the jungle: Perhaps the most intimate shot from the shoot, shows the two naked while cuddling up and biting on the same flower while their pristine bodies glisten

No doubt there had to be plenty of trust as well with the male model Adam as he was fully dressed in a few different patterned suits.

He later stripped down to just floral patterns slacks before also baring it all in a rather intimate shot.

The release of the racy shoot comes just a month after her former boyfriend Nick broke the silence on their split.

The 22-year-old told E! News at the end of June: 'I wish the best for her in the future and we had a great two years.'

While he did not seem to hold a grudge against Olivia, Nick did not elaborate on what happened between the glamorous couple.

Olivia met Nick at the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, one year after she won top honours in the contest.

She confirmed last week that she has split from Nick Jonas after almost two years of dating.

And Olivia Culpo is certainly showing the 22-year-old Jealous crooner just what he is missing, unveiling her new steamy shoot for Galore Magazine.

The 23-year-old beauty queen put her sculpted physique on display in a number of revealing shots for the publication's 2015 Summer Bombshells campaign.

One image shows the brunette bombshell clad in a tiny bright yellow two-piece.

She's exposing some of her perky underboob while seductively kneeling on a mesh lounge chair and sipping soda through a straw.

The shoot takes place poolside, with another shot showing Olivia wearing a bronze bikini while laying on her back on the cement ground.

A flute filled with champagne and orange juice is sitting to her right.

'Nothing a little mimosa can't fix @TheGaloreMag #galoremag.' the former Miss USA - who represented Rhode Island as she won in 2012 - tweeted with the sexy snap.

Amping up the sex appeal, an additional alluring image captures Olivia cooling off by taking a taste of a frozen pink lolli.

The picture shows a side-by-side split, with a zoomed-in image on the right and the words 'summer delight' written on the bottom.

Olivia further cooled off by dipping in the pool.

She's spotted wearing a plunging magenta one-piece while heading out of the water with her soaked strands.

Other pictures show the star floating in the pool, talking on a retro-inspired bubblegum pink telephone, playing photographer, and biting on a strawberry.

'The summer bombshell package is one that our readers look forward to annually. This year we are celebrating the bombshell with three new comers starring on the covers.

'Charlotte McKinney, Hannah Ferguson and Olivia Culpo, who are all Bombshells in their own right,' Creative Director Prince Chenoa said about the shoot.

But the former Miss Universe is clearly still trying to mend her broken heart from her recent break-up.

On Friday, she shared a message her fans about her sensitive state.

'Your heart just breaks, that's all. Heartbreak is hard but you find more and more things to be grateful for every day,' Olivia wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of a Los Angeles sunset.

She added: 'One of those things is all of you. Thank you all. Yes I'm going to be okay and I love u guys so so much. Every day is a blessing.'

Olivia started dating the Jonas Brothers star after meeting at the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.
