She stripped down to nothing for her role in The Danish Girl.
But it appears that actress Alicia Vikander, 27, kept everything hidden in a polka-dot pink dress as she won the Rising Star award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California on Saturday.
The Swedish star portrayed Gerda Wegener, the wife of transgender Lili Elbe (also known as Einar Magnus Andreas Wegener) in the drama that starred British actor Eddie Redmayne, 33.

Alicia wore a high-neckline pink polka-dot frock complete with layers of frill.
She finished off her look with simple nude strap heels and a pair of delicate earrings.  
For hair and make-up, the brunette beauty put on a natural display, oping for a simple flush for her lips and cheeks.

Actress Amber Heard, 29, who also starred in The Danish Girl, presented Alicia with the Rising Star award for her role as Gerda Wegener, the wife of a transgender played by Eddie Redmayne.
In the film, the young actress appeared naked for an intimate scene with her on-screen husband.
Alicia also received a breakthrough honor from the New York Film Critics Online for her portrayal.

Critics appeared to love Oscar-winner Eddie, and he could receive a few nominations during award season.
As for Alicia, she's already received several awards and multiple nominations, with possibly more on the way.

And on Saturday, Rooney Mara, 30, looked classically chic in black as she walked the red carpet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. 
The Pan actress showed off her toned arms and legs in a lace detail cocktail dress.

The brunette beauty chose to leave bright colours behind with her spaghetti strap frock. 
Rooney's already-small waist appeared to be cinched in a bit more, as the right side of her evening wear featured a gathered look.
The simple dress was decorated with a tiny amount of lace detailing; both her straps up top and her bottom hemline were adorned with the flirty fabric.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo actress avoided heavy amounts of jewellery, and instead, opted for four thin gold rings on her left hand.
Kate drew attention to her stunning blue eyes with the use of deep purple shadow, creating a smokey effect. Her lips and cheeks were flushed with just a hint of colour. 
The actress' hair was pulled back and parted to the side, thus allowing her face to remain the center of attention.

Cate also attended the Palm Springs Film Festival and posed for pictures with her yet-to-be-titled Terrence Malick Project co-star.
The duo will appear in a film about two love triangles set against the backdrop of the Austin music scene.

Some thin straps secured the garment over her shoulders and criss-crossed down the Community star's back.

Room follows the story of Ma (Brie) who has been kidnapped and repeatedly raped in a shed, which she calls Room.
She gives birth to a son, Jack (Jacob Tremblay), and tries to use creativity and imagination to create a fulfilling life for her the five-year-old son.

'I can't even figure this whole thing out...so I was sitting between my parents and I still can't tell if this is a dream or not. It feels so special. I mean this is beyond anything I could've ever imagined.'
