It looks like being beautiful runs in the family if you're a Brinkley!

On Monday, Sports Illustrated revealed stunning shots of 63-year-old Christie her daughters Sailor, 18, and Alexa, 31.

In an exclusive interview with People the supermodel, who first covered the magazine back in 1979, explained that she had to think twice before agreeing to do the shoot.

'My first thought was, "At my age? No way!" When I turned 30, I was like, "This is the last time I’m posing in a bathing suit!"

When this issue comes out, I’ll be 63. I thought, "Those days are over." But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, "One last go!"'

In the spread the exquisite trio shows off their model bodies in matching black suits from the gorgeous beaches of Turks and Caicos.

The five-foot nine-inch model looks smoking as she poses between her daughters wearing a mesh one piece that shows off her flaunt tummy and smooth legs.

Besides mom brunette beauty Alexa looked flirty in a lacy off-the-shoulder suit while younger sister Sailor kept things simple in a strappy black bikini.

Brinkley's teenage daughter said working with Sports Illustrated was a 'very empowering and liberating' experience.

The three-time Sport Illustrated cover girl told interviewers she hoped that the shoot empowers women who feel insecure about aging.

'In a country that’s very ageist, people love to put you in little boxes. Women feel very limited by their numbers.

'On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of aging.'

The March issue of Sports Illustrated hits newsstands February 15.

Every fashionista knows how important it is to look chic on the front row of a catwalk show.

And it appears you're never too young to look good in designer gear as Jessica Alba's daughters showed in New York's Hamptons over the weekend.

The actress, 32, put her little girls Honor, five, and Haven, who turns two on August 13, in matching Ralph Lauren dresses to attend a children's fashion show by the same designer.

The youngsters looked adorable in the $65 'Nautical Seeksucker' sundresses as they sat in the front row with their famous mother.

As well as the dresses, the little girls also wore matching white buckled shoes.

Meanwhile, Jessica herself had also gone for a similar style in a navy polka dot dress, which she teamed with a pair of wedge sandals.

Posting a photo from the day out on her Instagram account, Jessica wrote: 'Had a blast @ralphlauren #girls #fashionshow in #hamptons w @kellysawyer.'

Also in attendance at the show were members of the Lauren family Dylan Lauren, David Lauren and Lauren Bush, model Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor and Edie Falco with her daughter Macy.

Christie, 59, looked stunning as usual in a long floral dress, while her youngest daughter Sailor, 15, wore a pretty white dress.

Former Sopranos star Edie, 50, looked colourful in an orange top and cropped white trousers, while her five-year-old Macy wore a white summer dress.

Meanwhile, Jessica recently surprised fans by claiming her size 6 (US size 2) figure was far from perfect.

She told the British edition of Women's Health magazine: 'Let's face it, I don't have the body of a 14-year-old anymore.

'I think the more we try not to have that unrealistic ideal, the happier we'll be. I have cellulite and stretch marks - and I have a muffin top!'

It runs in the family.

Showing off their striking similarities, Sailor Cook, 15, proved she follows in the footsteps of her supermodel mother Christie Brinkley, 59, on Saturday night.

From their beauty routine to their fashion picks, the duo looked like two peas in a pod as they arrived in matching white dresses to attend a Bella magazine event at Georgica Restaurant in East Hampton, Long Island.

Christie - who is known for being a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl - turned back the clock as she hugged her curves in a sleeveless, skintight frock that complimented her bronzed skin.

She teamed the knee-length dress with a pair of simple, white pointed-toe pumps as her blonde locks were styled in loose curls.

Sticking with the 'less is more' beauty theory, the bombshell merely brightened up her look with natural tones of make-up and some lengthening mascara.

Unlike Christie's sophisticated style, her model daughter opted to don a more youthful outfit consisting of a lacy, white mini dress and platform sandals.

But Sailor's brunette locks remained consistent with her mum, framing her face in relaxed curls.

And she took some make-up tips from her mother as well, barely wearing any but adding just a touch of pink gloss and mascara.

The duo had fun posing on the carpet together, holding hands and hugging as they dazzled in the limelight.

Sailor made her cover girl debut for the July/August issue of Bella NYC, is currently featured in Teen Vogue, and has also booked to model the new One Direction collection for Claire’s fall campaign.

It has emerged that her mother has already warned her that with success, comes negativity.

Speaking to People magazine, Christie said: 'I tell all my kids: When you achieve any level of success in your life, no matter what it is… if they reach a place where they are written about in the papers, it will come with the haters.

'It is just a part of what is happening today. You have to prepare them for that aspect of it. The way to do that is you have to have lots of interests in your life and lots of passions and involvement with causes and giving back.'

Christie, 59, added: 'It’s really amazing because my daughter Sailor, and my daughter Alexa, are both what you call late bloomers, I guess.'

Sailor - whose father is the nutritionist Peter Cook - is also featured in August's Teen Vogue where she talks about her fledgling career.

'It was only recently that I wanted to get into modeling. I said, 'Mom, should I diet?' and she was like, 'No! You don't need to be skinny, you just need to be happy with yourself and confident and fit.'

Sailor continued: 'All of her photos really show that. She was like a goddess.'
