Prints charming: Jessica Alba is elegant in patterned dress as she hosts Outstanding Mothers Awards

She is a doting mother-of-two and regularly branded a yummy mummy.
So perhaps Jessica Alba was the perfect choice to host the Outstanding Mothers Awards in New York today.
The actress looked elegant in a black, white and yellow patterned Fifties style dress which showed off her enviable figure.

Jessica teamed the printed frock with patent copper gold pumps and tied her brunette locks into a slick updo.
As well as hosting the event, which was held at The Pierre Hotel, the 31-year-old star was honoured at the bash and presented with an award.
Fashion Director of Elle and Marie Claire magazines Nina Garcia, who also sits on the Project Runway judging panel, received a gong at the event as well.

It’s no wonder Jessica and Nina appeared to be getting on so well as it seems they may have spent some time together recently – Jessica graces the cover of Marie Claire’s latest issue.
Nina, 47, sported a simple black dress printed with flowers and black ankle boots to the event.
She posed up with Jessica on the red carpet and the pair also were seen chatting to and posing with CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King.

Gayle, 57, wore a turquoise dress with teal shoes and a matching beaded necklace, and she was seen admiring Jessica’s dress as they threw their arms around each other on the red carpet.
Jessica is in New York for a string of red carpet appearances and dazzled in a gold gown at Monday’s Met Gala before hitting up the Biggest Baby Shower Ever last night.
But it seems despite the excitement of the glamorous events Jessica is missing her two daughters Honor, three, and nine-month-old Haven.

The Sin City actress tweeted today: ‘Missing my babes so much rt now.’
As she is of Mexican descent on her father's side, it’s no surprise Jessica particularly wants to be with her children today as it marks Latin America’s celebration of Mother’s Day.
However the star will no doubt make up for it by celebrating the special day with North America on Sunday.
