'I'm always broody... I'd never rule out being a surrogate': Michelle Keegan opens up on Coronation Street pregnancy storyline
Her Coronation Street alter-ego has agreed to carry a child for Izzy Armstrong and Gary Windass after they struggled to conceive a baby naturally.
And Michelle Keegan has admitted being part of such a hard-hitting storyline has made her reconsider her own views on surrogacy as a whole.
The 25-year-old actress explained she is 'always broody' and after seeing what her character Tina McIntyre has gone through, she would 'never rule out' carrying a child for another couple should they need her help.

But the brunette beauty admitted she initially had reservations when it came to the subject, until she met surrogate mothers as part of her research.
Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford on ITV1's This Morning on Wednesday, she said: 'I met a lady called Jo who was amazing, and no one really talks about surrogacy.
'It's a bit of a taboo subject, and she basically said, "I've had my own children and I wanted to help other people have children".

'And I couldn't get my head around it at first but when she told me the stories and got to know the families, it's just amazing... I would never rule it out now, ever. If someone really needed my help I would never rule that out... or if I needed [a surrogate], yeah, one hundred percent.'
Michelle - who split from her fiance, The Wanted singer Max George, in July - admitted wearing a prosthetic baby bump for the storyline has made her want children of her own.

Michelle also joked that she has been waiting to wear the prosthetic bump 'for years', and it comes with the added bonus of keeping her warm throughout the winter months.
She said: 'It's been round the whole cast! But I love it, I've been waiting for that bump for years. But I can actually feel myself walking around like I'm pregnant and sitting down like I'm [really] pregnant!"
'And with it being so cold outside, it keeps me warm!'
