Kimberley Walsh opens up on ditching the dieting... as she steps out in super skintight snakeskin dress

'I eat chocolate and don't feel bad about it': Kimberley Walsh opens up on ditching the dieting... as she steps out in super skintight snakeskin dress

She's been in the spotlight ever since joining Girls Aloud back in 2002.
But despite the pressures of being in the public eye, it seems that Kimberley Walsh has finally come to terms with her body shape, admitting that she finds dieting 'antisocial' and 'grim.'
The 31-year-old, who stepped out in a skintight snakeskin print dress in London on Monday, has admitted that, thanks to her work-out regime, she can now treat herself to the odd treat and doesn't feel guilty anymore.

'I did diet when I was a teenager but I’m so over it now,' said the star, who's just been named as the new ambassador for Sky Ride.
'I find it grim, antisocial and unhealthy,' she added. 'I try to eat healthily but I certainly don’t diet anymore, if you stay healthy and work-out then you can eat what you want.'
'I like to have a bit of chocolate every now and again and I don’t feel bad about it,' she admitted, clearly having found a balance that works for her.
'I do like to work-out a lot, I usually just concentrate on toning - doing lots of squats and toning exercises,' added the star.

And the singer certainly seemed confident about her hourglass shape as she headed to the ITV studios, sticking to her tried and tested style of skintight dresses and stilettos.
Kimberley looked as well groomed as usual as she wandered inside, but admitted that she doesn't always look so well-polished.
'If I’m going out then I’ll always make an effort with the way that I look. Luckily no one really sees me when I pop out around where I live- if they did then they might get a shock,' she said.
'I always like to be groomed but I’m not into always looking glamorous – I prefer beach-style hair and minimal make-up – it’s more my style.'
Curvy and proud: Kimberley made the most of her hourglass figure as she stepped out in a skintight leopard print dress earlier in the month

She might have found fame as a singer in Girls Aloud, but the star admitted that she's done with that style of music and is concentrating on musical theatre.
'I’ve had a great career with the girls but I’ve done pop music,' she said. 'I really feel like I’ve come full circle. This is what I started out doing and now I’m back here doing it again and that’s where my head’s at.'
'My ideal role would be in Miss Saigon. I’ve heard rumours that it might be coming back to the West Ends so I’m hoping that if I mention how much I want to be in it enough then they might consider me,' she added.
'I’ve got lots of different fingers in different pies at the moments, but I really want to put my energies into acting and musical theatre.

'I’ve seen my fanbase change a little since I released Centre Stage and I love the fact that I’ve introduced the lots of Girls Aloud fans to this kind of music.'
Speaking about her involvement with Sky Ride, she said: 'I’m doing this to raise awareness of cycling and its benefits – it’s such a great way to bring people together and promote a healthy way of living.'
'I do cycle and I have cycled a lot over the years. I always do it a lot on holiday as it feels a bit easier and there’s not so much traffic on the roads – which is why it’s great that they’re shutting down the streets for the Skyride,' she explained.
But it seems that the star doesn't get the chance to ride around town as much as she'd like to these days thanks to her star status.
'It’s not so easy for me to cycle around town these days unfortunately but it seems so much easier than driving – I’m always so temped to hop on a Boris Bike when I’m sitting around in traffic, it’s very tempting,' she said.
