Throwing shade: Calvin tweeted: 'I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do'
She told the MailOnline on Wednesday morning: 'Taylor Swift wrote 'This Is What You Came For' under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.'
Calvin also revealed that Taylor 'sings on a little bit of it too', confirming that some of the 'oohs' heard in the song are indeed her vocals.
However sources close to Taylor claimed to TMZ that Calvin is downplaying her involvement by stating that she merely penned the lyrics and sang a little on the track, because she actually also wrote the melody.
Calvin had tweeted that he 'wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals'.
Calvin sources did confirm to TMZ that Taylor wrote the melody, but insist it was his work on the track that made it a hit.
The Shake It Off singer ended her relationship with Calvin early last month after 15 months of dating.
And it has been claimed that their romance broke down because the Scottish DJ 'disrespected' Taylor after the release of the track.
According to TMZ, Taylor and Calvin agreed not to release it as a couple for fear it would overshadow the song, so she encouraged him to record the song with Rihanna.
But drama struck after the song's release when the Scottish hitmaker dismissed the idea of ever working with Taylor in an interview.
Discussing the possibility of a collaboration with his then-girlfriend, Calvin told Ryan Seacrest: 'You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though.'

'There was no drama. Things just don't work out sometimes,' a source previously told People.
Two weeks after it was revealed that she had split from the Summer hitmaker, the Blank Space singer went public with her romance with Tom Hiddleston.
Taylor's friends have allegedly now decided to speak out about the song because they think the DJ is angry about her new relationship and being unfair to her.
TMZ explained: '[Her friends are] sick of Calvin trashing Taylor and feel he should be thanking her for quietly giving him a smash hit.'
'I thought he had my back': In 2014, Calvin Harris prevented ex Rita Ora from performing their song I Will Never Let You Down at the Teen Choice Awards, shortly after their split. They are seen here in January of that year
It comes after Calvin prevented his ex-girlfriend Rita Ora from performing their song I Will Never Let You Down at the Teen Choice Awards in 2014, shortly after their split.
At the time, she explained during an interview with Ryan Seacrest: 'For anybody who doesn’t understand how it works, he wrote and produced the song.
'So he has to approve anything TV-wise for anybody who doesn’t get it. And obviously he owns the rights to it and he didn’t approve the Teen Choice Awards.'
Calvin promptly fired back on Twitter, writing: 'You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life. But just know I had a damn good reason.'

Meanwhile Taylor's long-standing feud with Katy Perry has been well-documented, and the singer's hit Bad Blood is rumoured to be about their row.
They are said to have fallen out after Katy allegedly hired three back-up dancers who were already scheduled to perform on Taylor's tour.
Taylor described a 'straight-up enemy' who 'tried to sabotage' her tour during an interview with Rolling Stone in 2014, and Katy responded by tweeting: 'Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...'
Katy was also dating John Mayer at the time, who previously was in a relationship with Taylor and inspired her break-up song Dear John.
