Gemma Arterton and Barbara Palvin stun at Venice Film Festival's La La Land premiere

Peek-a-boo! Gemma Arterton teases her ample chest with a racy lace insert as model Barbara Palvin stuns in a sexy keyhole frock at Venice Film Festival's La La Land premiere

With her long flowing black gown, complete with lacy black detail at the bust, Gemma Arterton put on a head-turning display at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old British actress's dress was simple but effective, teamed with dangling statement diamond earrings.
Gemma was on hand to see the festival's opening film - La La Land - as a member of the judging panel.

But the star had plenty of competition in the glamour stakes.
Model Barbara Palvin looked equally striking in a white textured gown with keyhole detail and a frilled mermaid detail at the bottom.
The star's brown hair was pulled up into a chic updo and she showed off her natural beauty with minimal make-up.

However, she stepped out onto the red carpet alone, after recently being linked with racing driver Lewis Hamilton - although the twosome insist they're just friends.
Gemma and Barbara were clearly enjoying their foray onto the red carpet on the festival's opening night where Emma Stone was also on hand to promote her film La La Land.
Emma arrived in a stunning silver fringed number, teaming her look with a sleek updo.
The musical dramedy sees Emma play an aspiring actress and waitress who meets and falls in love with a jazz musician, played by Ryan Gosling.

At an earlier press conference at the festival, Emma said she hoped cinemagoers would come away from seeing it with a positive outlook.
'This movie is in no way cynical,' she said. 'It’s about dreaming and hoping and working towards something to achieve something. I think young people have fallen into a lot of cynicism and making fun of things and pointing out the flaws in everything and this movie is anything but that.
'So it’s a huge joy to be able to show it to young people. This is what I hope young people will do is work hard to achieve their dreams, and hope instead of being cynical.'
The film - written and directed by Damien Chazelle - the man behind the critically acclaimed Whiplash - is already gaining buzz after a slew of positive reviews.

MailOnline's Brian Viner described the movie as both 'refreshing and uplifting' even saying it 'mightjust waft all the way to an Academy Award nomination.'
The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw called it a 'happy, sweet-natured movie – something to give you a vitamin-D boost of sunshine.'
Deadline's Pete Hammond, meanwhile described it as 'a movie worth savoring, something that entertains, enlightens and makes us feel good about being alive. It is not to be missed by anyone who still cares for the future of the American musical.'
And Owen Gleiberman was cautiously positive in his Variety review, saying: 'La La Land isn’t a masterpiece (and on some level it wants to be). Yet it’s an exciting ramble of a movie, ardent and full of feeling, passionate but also exquisitely — at times overly — controlled.'
