Sofia Richie has solidified her position as one of the most promising models in the fashion industry with her appearance at the Met Gala wearing TopShop.

She arrived alongside fellow catwalkers Candice Swanepoel, Presley Gerber, Gabriel Kane, Jordan Kale Barrett, Joan Smalls and Behati Prinsloo at the event, but was sure to stand out in a metallic gown that showed plenty of her generous cleavage.

The 18-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie paired the silver and gold gown with a leather jacket that she wore off of her shoulders.

Her newly-bleached hair was slicked back, putting all of the attention on her genetically-blessed face and mis-matched diamond earrings. 

She was dripping in even more diamonds around her neck, which dipped down into her chest. 

Prior to the event, Sofia shared on Snapchat that she took a SoulCycle class as a pre-Met workout.

Just before she left for the Met Gala, she shared a video while getting a cross tattooed on her right middle finger.  

This was not Sofia's first time attending the invite-only fashion bash.

In 2015, Sofia was the guest of designer Stella McCartney for the gala's China: Through The Looking Glass theme.

The Met Gala is the highlight of the fashion calendar.

And with ground-breaking Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakuboas named as this year's theme, the famed fund-raiser is sure to provide plenty of spectacle. 

The Tokyo-based designer has been deemed worthy of the solo focus of this year's gala - which inaugurates the museum's eagerly-awaited accompanying exhibit of her label.

It is the first time the gala and exhibit has focused on one living designer since 1983, when it highlighted the work of Yves Saint Laurent. 

Vogue editor Anna Wintour co-chairs the gala, joined by Katy Perry, Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen and Pharrell Williams. 

Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton, told AP that Kawakubo is considered the world's 'most important and influential designer' of the moment and 'has consistently defined and re-defined the aesthetics of our time.'

Carpool: She rode to the event with Presley Gerber, Jordan Kale Barrett and 

Known for bold, experimental clothing, Kawakubo's designs have an austere aesthetic and a cult following.

The 74-year-old officially founded her cerebral design house in 1973 to critical acclaim - and was dubbed 'anti-fashion' for challenging the notions of beauty with her innovative aesthetic.

Comme des Garcons has been showing collections in Paris each season since 1981.

The Metropolitan Museum in New York - where the annual gala is held - is displaying 120 Comme des Garçons womenswear designs by Kawakubo, spanning the past 35 years, since her first Paris show.

She's known for her eccentric yet unique sense of style.

And on Friday, British singer FKA twigs turned up the volume yet again as she debuted her bleach blonde dreadlocks during a night out in Moscow.

The 28-year-old artist, who is engaged to Robert Pattinson, looked like a Gothic princess as she strutted about town in an black-and-grey ensemble crowned by her peroxide locks.

Her black top featured a low-cut neckline that showed off her stunning décolletage, and a series of cut-outs across the chest, which drew attention to her cleavage. 

As practical as she is stylish, the Gloucestershire-born beauty draped a black leather jacket from her arm, clearly aware that temperatures in Moscow plunge once the sun sets. 

Not keen to appear too vampish, she added pops of colour with her yellow backpack and a bit of red lippie.  

Loving life: She wore a big smile on her face as she showed off her look, as well as vampy red lipstick and smokey eye make-up

A fashion chameleon, the urban look is a far cry from her recent editorial spread in the August issue of Elle magazine.

FKA twigs - real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett - donned a series of silky and revealingly cut designer outfits for the pictures that channel her maverick nature.

In an interview with the magazine, the enigmatic singer says she thinks 'People talk too much.'

FKA Twigs also revealed her dislike of the word 'fan' to describe those who like her work.

'They don't influence what I make but they have a role in us all coming together and creating something genuine,' she said.

Katy Perry's ex Diplo claims Selena Gomez's relationship with Zedd is 'fake'... and it's all about selling records

He famously feuded with Taylor Swift and now music producer and DJ Diplo is turning his attention to her best friend and former Disney tween Selena Gomez.

Diplo, 36, claimed to Radio.com that Selena's rumored romance with German DJ Zedd is just a ruse to get publicity and sell records, and he thinks the distraction has been detrimental to Zedd's music.

'I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he’s been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM,' Diplo said. 'But they’ve pegged him for that, they’ve marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music.'

In February, EDM maestro Zedd, 25, and Selena, 22, released their collaborative effort 'I Want You To Know' and rumors they were dating surfaced after the pair shared photos on social media of them hanging out together at the studio

Zedd's second album True Colors just dropped on May 18 and Diplo has been less than complimentary about it.

'There are a lot of people paying attention to him, he can do this awesome music, and to just come out with something so flat and expected and easy for people… You only live once, you know what I’m saying?' he said.

PR stunt? Diplo claimed in an interview that the relationship is part of a marketing strategy by Zedd's music label to sell records. His single with Selena dropped in February and his album True Colors in May

But Diplo insists he isn't enemies with Zedd.

'He’s an amazing producer and good songwriter, he said. 'He’s got a really loud space right now in this culture.'

Last November, the 36-year-old who was dating Katy Perry at the time, ignited a feud with Taylor after tweeting that ‘someone should make a Kickstarter to get Taylor Swift a booty’.

The remarks caused a huge backlash from the singer's fans - or 'Swifties' - a group Diplo later described as worse than the North Korean army.  

Sparking rumors: The German music producer hinted at his growing friendship with the former Disney tween star by posting photos of them together on his Instagram page earlier this year 

'All I know is don't ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift. She has like 50 million people that will die for her,' he told GQ Style in March.  

The allegation that her romance with Zedd is 'fake' is likely another blow for the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress who was subjected to body shaming comments on social media in April.

She's also had to deal with plenty of scrutiny over her now former relationship with Justin Bieber, 21, who has pleaded guilty to charges of assault and careless driving from an incident last August in which he crashed a ATV into a photographer's van.

He and Selena had been riding the ATV together.

On Thursday, Selena poured out her feelings in an Instagram post, saying: 'Sometimes I get frustrated when I hear lies about who I am,' she wrote. 

'The Internet is meant to keep you "updated" but it just takes old news and freezes it like it's now. You have watched me in pain and I've owned up to it through my music and actions. I grew up with you.'

She went on: 'I am beyond excited to show you the next chapter, the TRUTH. I've been keeping so many secrets... I'm reborn in every moment so who knows what I'll become.. As long as I'm happy with me. #strongisbeautiful #healthyperspectiveonthemfools.'

Behind the scenes: Cara Delevingne spends 11 HOURS with her favourite tattoo artist Bang Bang as she gets inked for Met Gala

It's not like Cara Delevingne to follow conventions on the red carpet.

So when faced with this year's Chinese Whispers: Through the Looking Glass theme for the 2015 Met Gala on Monday, the British supermodel and tattoo enthusiast went the extra-mile with elaborate Chinese birds and blossoms inkings.

New behind the scenes shots show Cara recruiting the help of tattooist to the stars Bang Bang, a squad of five artists and 11 hours in the make-up chair to decorate her whole upper body, especially for the occasion.

Cara didn't just impress with a Stella McCartney jumpsuit for this year's costume gala, hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, she decided to take the dress code into her own hands.

With her ever-expanding collection of bizarre inkings, Cara may have lead a few to believe her elaborate body art was real but it will in fact only last 10 days.

The behind the scenes shots show the supermodel receiving the tattoo treatment from Bang Bang - real name Keith McCurdy - who is the artist behind Cara's infamous 'Bacon' tattoo on the bottom of her foot, as well as her first ever inking on her index finger.

Cara's temporary tattoos were designed using Photoshop and applied directly to her skin using markers and stencils on the morning of the event.

To prevent ink bleeding and keep the tattoos in place, a make-up artist then used a matte sealer to lock them in.

On the night, Cara wore her hair in a fuss-free bun to avoid any interference with the inkings and to give the blossom design enough impact alongside McCartney's cutaway jumpsuit.

The heavily-tattooed artist is credited with creating some the best-known permanent body art, with celeb clients including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

He was first called upon by a celebrity when Rihanna was reaching the height of her fame as she turned 18 and he has tattooed the Umbrella singer ever since.

Rihanna was reportedly the first to see Cara's Met Gala tribute, which she called 'sick', and was also the one who introduced Cara to Bang Bang.
