Rita Ora stunning in silver basque as tour gets underway

How we don't: Rita Ora almost suffers a futuristic fashion malfunction in unforgiving silver basque as tour gets underway

One of the pitfalls of being an energetic performer is that your clothes can't always deal with the amount of leaping around going on.
It's a situation Rita Ora almost learnt first hand when she took to the stage in Manchester wearing an extremely low cut top.
It was the first night of the How We Do singer's UK tour, and she made sure to give it her all for her delighted fans.

Rita looked sensational in metallic trousers and a matching strapless basque with elaborate shoulder pad detailing.
The unusual look gave her the air of a science fiction heroine, and even her nails were varnished in a matching glittery shade.
She also wore a £180 LeiVanKash dagger necklace, which is one of her regular accessories.

Risque: Rita's basque was a daring choice of outfit considering she has a very active stage presence

Just like Kylie, The Spice Girls, Madonna and Beyonce, Rita's costumes were designed especially by a couture house.
The elaborate and somewhat daring looks are by Emilio Pucci, and aim to capture her 'urban glamour' style.
For Rita's tour the label reinterpreted key themes from the Spring/ Summer 2013 collection.

Skirts: At one point the catsuit had an additional skirt that wouldn't have looked out of place on a well to do Georgian lady

Speaking about creating the looks Peter Dundas said: 'I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's ‘Radioactive Tour’, from the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like only a natural progression.
'The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic.'

Despite upping the glamour for the show, as soon as the venue had emptied, Rita headed home in one of her usual left of centre looks.
After wowing the crowds in Manchester with the flamboyant creations she left the venue wearing a bizarre bespectacled look.
Rita left the Manchester Academy wearing a pair of double lens sunglasses, matching her red and black outfit.
Her fans didn't seem to mind her bizarre ensemble and many were seen asking for autographs as she headed home from the first night of her tour.

Just a day before her first show Rita teased fans by posing a picture of her washboard stomach to Twitter.
But far from admitting to any kind of gruelling exercise routine, the star revealed that she'd just been to Nandos and worked out for only six seconds.

'Got ready for radioactive see you tomorrow! Nandos diet and 6 second abs booom lol,' she wrote under the black and white snap of her enviable physique.
Clearly wanting to show all of her followers just what kind of shape she's in, the blonde singer may have succumbed to the Twitter tendency to over-share.

Revealing a large pair of black knickers, the RIP singer lifted up a jumper to show her stomach, a friend taking the snap before she posted it on the social networking site.
Rita will be performing across the country before finishing her tour in Birmingham next month.
