But at 24-years-old, Vanessa Hudgens has clearly decided to opt for a more streamlined style.
The actress debuted her new long bobbed look at a fashion party in New York on Thursday night, after sharing a photograph of her new do on her website.

'Short hair, don’t care!' she wrote, adding: 'What do you guys think of my new do… Any of you cut your hair recently? Upload them below and I’lll checccckk them out!!'
Vanessa famously had her hair chopped in a much shorter boyish style for her role in independent film Gimme Shelter back in 2011.
But the star wasn't a fan of the extreme style, telling Access Hollywood: 'Honestly, I kind of feel like a soccer mom, but we're going to let that go.
'There's nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I'm only 22! I miss my hair, believe me, I do, but there's nothing I can do about it.
'It's really intense. I'm still getting used to it.'
Since then the star has grown her tresses back but clearly decided it was time for a change.
Vanessa joined Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell at the L'Amour by Nanette Lepore for JCPenney launch party in New York City on Thursday.
The smiling star seemed thrilled with her new haircut, smiling broadly as she posed for photographs.
She looked striking in an oversized neon orange top and black trousers teamed with a leather jacket and boots.

Shay also wore neon, standing out in yellow jeans, black heels and a sheer top, posing with Vanessa and blowing kisses to photographers.
Vanessa has a busy year ahead with the forthcoming release of her film Spring Breakers in which she stars alongside Selena Gomez and James Franco.
The film follows four college girls who land themselves in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation.
They are bailed out by a drug and arms dealer played by Franco, who wants them to do his dirty work.

The star dyed her hair a dirty blonde for the role in which she regularly appears in a bikini.
The film will be something of a departure for the actress who also takes part in a steamy threesome love scene with Franco and Ashley Benson
'It was very nerve-racking for me,' Vanessa admitted to the Glow magazine. 'I told my agent that I never want to do it ever again.'
