Cheryl Cole pays tribute to idol Beyonce by emulating dance moves in front of stunning South African vista

(Pretty much) Flawless! Cheryl Cole pays tribute to idol Beyonce by emulating dance moves in front of stunning South African vista

She’s been peppering her Twitter and Instagram accounts with a series of shots from her extravagant New Year break in South Africa.
But while the sunny snaps have become commonplace to ardent followers of her social networking sites, Cheryl Cole has thrown them a curveball in the form of a new video in which she emulates her R&B idol.
The 15-second clip sees the 30-year-old singer parading in front of a stunning ocean vista alongside two pals while they cut some fairly impressive dance moves to new Beyonce track Flawless.

Bathed in silhouette, Cheryl leads the way as they emulate the singer’s moves as performed in the visual companion piece to the track on her self-titled fifth studio album.
The former Girls Aloud star – who has long been a fan of Beyonce – recently tweeted her astonishment after the star dropped her new long player without any apparent promotional campaign on December 13.
Writing the following week, she raved: ‘Beyonce just literally came in and owned 2013 in the 90th minute!! #surfboardsurfboard #winning.’

The 14-tracks on Beyonce each came with an accompanying short film in accordance with the singer’s desire to create a ‘visual album.’
Flawless, directed by filmmaker Jake Nava, won praise for its striking urban aesthetic, with People magazine’s Nate Jone later expressing his belief that its lyrics were ‘best performed with the hand gestures seen in the video.’
Those hand gestures are on full display in Cheryl’s brief clip, but the serene backdrop is a world away from the graffiti strewn alleyways used by Nava while Beyonce performs with a group of street dancers.

The star was spotted greeting pals after arriving at local restaurant Tashas for a bite to eat on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, she appears to have dismissed rumours of a return to The X Factor later this year with a tweet added to her account on Wednesday when she wrote: ‘Sam rumours, different day/year.’
The Geordie singer has been repeatedly linked with a move back to the show she originally left to work on the US variant – only to be replaced by Nicole Scherzinger when American fans reportedly struggled to understand her thick regional accent.
