Jessie J rocks a black minidress and a striking raven bob as she and Laura Whitmore lead the glamour at 2014 BRIT Awards Nominations Launch

It was back to her roots for Jessie J as she wore a wig to attend the 2014 BRIT Awards Nominations launch, in association with MasterCard, at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday.

The 25-year-old star, who shaved her head last year for Comic Relief, sported a sharp bobbed wig in jet-black with a feathered fringe, which was similar to her signature hairstyle earlier in her career.

She wore a sleek ensemble with a black striped body-con dress and heeled suede boots with a sheer laced design.

She completed her look with a bright red matte lip colour, which she complemented with a sweep of red eyeshadow and a matching red manicure.

The singer carried a simple clutch in black leather with a gold chain design to complete her understated but stylish look.

Jessie has been experimenting with her locks of late, which she is growing after going bald for charity last year.

Meanwhile Laura Whitmore, 28, went for a monochrome outfit, wearing a tight black jumpsuit and a smart white blazer.

The Irish MTV presenter’s tailored jumpsuit featured a satin trim and a strapless neckline with v-shaped detail.

She wore her blazer over her shoulders as a cape, while she added colour-block pointed heels in black and beige.

She wore her long hair loose in a centre parting with loose curls and carried a novelty, book-shaped clutch bag in white.

Also looking stylish was Ellie Goulding, 27, who went for a gothic-style transparent black gown, with an intricate geometric, floral design.

Ellie is set to pick up Brit Award nominations for Best Female and Best Single, while Jessie J is up for best British female solo artist.

Other nominees include singer-songwriter Tom Odell and Jake Bugg, while Ellie Goulding, the Arctic Monkeys, Tinie Tempah, Pixie Lott and Katy Perry are lined up to perform.
